Wigan v Bolton

Big performance needed on Sunday. Crashing out of Europe was gutting, Megson needs a win tomorrow otherwise he'll deserve all the abuse he'd get.
Unfortunately, I think it's got draw written all over it!

Ill bring over what i said in other thread: If we dont get anything out of the wigan game then not only will survival seem unlikely but we would have basicly thrown away our place in europe.
anyway the game itself, i dont think campo should play as on a normal pitch most of his touches are shocking so on wigans mudpatch he'd give the ball away far too much. Think we maybe should start with something similar to thursday with helgusson and davies up front and diouf playing the role that stelios had. That way we can play long ball, somat we're gonna have to do and hopefully diouf will be running onto all the knock downs

Completly spineless, not being able to see of 10 man wigan, not actually wanting to beat 10 man wigan, playing quite possibly the most negative bench ive ever seen, having to watch gregorz rasiak play for the team that i love, knowin that come may we will be playing championship football all add up to putting me in one crap mood. Im sure there's lots more i could moan about but tbh it really isnt worth the effort.

Agreed! They deserved to be booed off at half time and full time.
Megson rested these players on Thursday against a beatable Sporting side just for today. They came in and were crap. I'm not saying we would have won the UEFA Cup but we've wasted all the hard work we did to get to the last 16.
First half was possibly the worse we've played all season, second half was better but with the number of chances we had we should have won the game, never mind drawn it!
As for the ref, Wigan will feel aggrieved at the red card, but we had two goals disallowed, one of which should have stood, two stone wall penalties turned down and another man should have been sent off for one of those because it was on the line.
To be honest, after today's showing, I'm resigned to our European tour being at Cardiff and Swansea next season in the fizzy pop league.
