Apparantly Bolton fans don't want to see great passing or great goals. We are more into flying tackles and bodies being thrown on the line. est we want some committment to the cause but not at the expense of the football.
The Bolton player in question said: "The fans want commitment and they want to see bodies being thrown in and putting in tackles rather than a team stringing 20 passes together and scoring a brilliant goal..." - Kevin Davies.
...how wrong you are my friend. I think most of us quite enjoy a bit of decent football.
I will edit this post in a bit.

Do we not? I certainly do, what a joke.
Just because that's your type of game, don't make stuff up.
When we scored our teams goals against West Ham, Villa and Man United, it was a fantastic feeling, knowing we can play some quality football, rather than the 'labeled' goals people say we only do.

I'd like to see both.
As the other team attack: I "want to see bodies being thrown in and putting in tackles" and then once we get possession: I want "a team stringing 20 passes together and scoring a brilliant goal..."
The former is easier than latter.

If this was the case I wouldn't even bother watching Barca or Spain, hoping we can play just a little bit like them.
Sure everyone likes a good tackle and full commitment, but unless he's been miss quoted, don't make things up or think we all think the same.

I wonder if this is an excuse to why he always does long balls and makes mistakes.

Meh, a goal that comes from 20 passes is worth the same as a deflected own goal from a Jussi punt. Who cares?

He's hardly ever playing long balls on the offence, he was playing nice one-two's with Petrov and Ricketts yesterday, he only hoofed it when he was in the shíte, and that is what a defender is suppost to do anyway. Considering he was up against one of the best Wingers in the league, he played as well as everyone else.

Agree with all that. Passed the ball well and some good link up play. Proving to be very reliable.

He still long balled it when he had space, Holden was calling for the ball and he just hit and hoped it.

That time where it led to Davies' flick on? And Elmander nearly scored?

Him, Knight and Steinsson are all guilty of doing it. Sometimes long balls are good for variety, but it happens far too often when they even have space and don't know what to do, just hesitating and giving the ball away.

I actually got "the tingle" feeling after that Petrov goal and the Reebok roar went up. You could feel the atmosphere building as the attack built properly and you could feel it coming. I really enjoyed that goal!

Why has it just changed from a Paul Robinson quote to a Kevin Davies quote?

Whoever said it, Robinson/Davies/I don't give a shíte, they are clearly wrong and need to be told that a lot of supporters such as myself turn up to watch entertaining football and not long ball crap. Yes commitment is great and it's good getting stuck in, but if we ever revert back to that crap Megson put on then I'm out, finished.

That's what I thought. Or maybe Robinson's on jayjay's hit list this week.

If we ever score this 20 passes goal all I'm going to think about is jayjay getting a hard-on. I truly hope it never happens.

Am I the only person that goes to the game not giving a flying fcúk about how we play aslong as we get the 3 points? I would rather see a crunching tackle than a Step Over.
