A certain poster on here keeps banging on about the Burnden Aces clique. But is it a figment of his imagination or is there an intimidating clique that puts potential new members off joining or contributing?
Anyone familiar with other Bolton forums will know Wanderers Ways has a famous clique, and it seems The Wanderer may be going the same way if recent reports are correct.
But do we have our very own clique here? Is it not just a case of the regular posters enjoying banter most days, and those that don't post so often feeling a bit like outsiders? Or is the clique made up of sensible posters like myself, DP & Batman and those with ridiculous views like Samantha Howfen, Didle & Jayjay feeling left out?
I'd be interested to know your views, particularly if you've just joined or don't post very often.

Natasha, were there to be a clique then there is little doubt that you and I would run it.
However, I don't think there is. We've both had experiences of other websites and of the effect that a little bit of internet power can have on sensible people - for that we should be grateful that this place is run in a more adult and sensible manner than other boards around.
This is a tremendous forum, all the more so because of the varied nature of posters and posts. Long may it continue.

I've never felt there's a clique, I certainly don't feel intimidated I just enjoy reading all the banter, I don;t post much because I'm a boring old fart with very little interesting to say!!

I couldn't care less. People act like victims and see conspiracy where there isn't one, it happens all the time. I have not noticed any clique behavior but to be honest if there was one then I would say to each their own, if members of said group get along and have similar views they can post whatever they like. Just because they happen to agree does not make them some sinister gang.
