God - some of the folk on this site amaze me

You get very anti bolton like Natasha Whittam or people who are as scepical as fack because I was trying to get interest early doors for a good turn out for our first away game

In terms of the Arsenal game we are the underdogs and likely to get beat but I dont expect a battering even with Bogden in goal.

Yes, you're right as I made my comment based solely on your post about the first game of the season & not the numerous ones before that.

I can't really see us getting anything out of this one. Arsenal have been looking good and I think Walcott will cause some big problems for Robinson down the wing.

Unfortunately will have to say 3-0 to them.

Not really, just a realist. The chances are, we're more likely to get done over than win!

If Walcott's on fire then Robbo could be in for a real roasting.

If they score in the first 10-15 minutes, it'll be a long afternoon.

The thought of Walcott vs Robinson makes baby Jesus cry. It's going to be a torment. I'd consider sticking Samuel in there instead, just for the extra modicum of pace.

Robbo is going to have to absolutely crunch him first opportunity. And I fully expect it to happen.

Petrov isn't one for tracking back, so could be Robbo up against Sagna and Walcott. Christ.

I like your passion. I don't want our goal difference to look like a bomb has hit it however.

Not negativity. Realism. Big difference.

I think we could definitely get something from the Emirates. However it's an extremely tough place to go, and will be a big challenge for us.

No bitching there at all.

Samuel? Jesus Christ would cry seeing that man run onto a football field.

Walcott will destroy whoever we play at left back IF he plays well. At least Robinson has a chance of kneecapping the cocky little shíte.

We can only hope that Walcott reverts to type and rediscovers his dreadful final ball which has plagued his entire career.

If he does, it won't matter how many times he does Robinson for pace because he'll just fcúk it up anyway.

I don't know what Bibi has done wrong but he surely must have a shout at playing left back, probably still quickest player at club,he'd av a more realistic chance of keeping tabs on young theo.If Cahill as anything about him he'll do Walcott in training. You should always be looking at the bigger picture Gary.

Christ, bring Samuel back?

Rather play with 10 men.

Gardner has never been a defender. He has pace but that's it as far as the required attributes of a left-back go.

Our performances in our opening three games have given me cause for concern.  Fulham were below par.  West Ham would have scored 5 in the first half were it not for Jussi (and the fact that Carlton Cole is crap).  Birmingham, despite being a very negative team, still scored in the first five minutes and went up 2-0.

So the Arsenal game could be a bloodbath unless Coyle is a bit more realistic in his approach.  Go 4-5-1.  Rough them up like we used to do in the good old days.  Hope to score from set pieces.  Play Mark Davies to run onto flicks from Davies.

And yet we got 5 points. Picking up points in games where you don't play well is never a bad thing. We used to do that a LOT under Allardyce.

I would love to think that we could come away with something from this game, but even the most hopeless optimist within me says we'll come away with nothing. I do, however, believe it won't be the bloodbath some of you are predicting. 3-1 to Arsenal.

I have two concerns about your post:

1) You're at least 40 yet have the language skills of Spazzie Darren.

2) We are so negative when it comes to the "big 4" because we have the worst record in the Premiership against them in recent seasons. So I call our attitude quite sensible. If you lost your erection 19 times out of the last 19 times you tried to have sex with your missus/dog/settee would you still consider yourself a sex God? I thought not.

That just depends what kind of person you are. If you want to you can pick the negatives out of any situation, just follow Natasha's lead for that. I saw the opening game as a tough contest, and am not one of these that assumes Fulham are as awful as their travelling hundreds suggest. As for West Ham, yes we could have been buried by half-time. But that's the value of a top-mark keeper. We rode the storm, took our chances, and got the points. Can't see the problem there.

And against Birmingham we had ten men, and came back from 2-0 down to get a point. Now I admit we are major, major underdogs at Arsenal, but it takes a real effort for anyone to pick holes in our start to the season so far.
