Mark my words, one day you're cheering for the gypo Bulgarians & the next, the lauta hools'll be making the pitch look like Stewart Longton's backyard!

Plus, I'd rather emigrate that cheer for Ashley Cole, Terry, Lampard, Rooney etc. Players who are playing for the money and publicity the England shirt brings instead of the honour it bestows.

There are several Bolton players, past and present, who have done the same thing, yet you still claim to support Bolton.

I doubt any Bolton player, past or present, nearly lost control of their car due to the club's 'insulting' offer of £55k p/w!

It's views of fannys like this that have made me give up on England- the views shared by most of the general media- and by the looks of it- the management staff.

Quote from: some southern bellend
As condescending as it sounds, the fact Cahill earns his money in Bolton colours does not help foster the notion he has the class to cope at this level but Manchester United and Arsenal are among those who believe he is capable of better things.

Cahill is 24 years old and uncapped — to throw him into games of this magnitude, whatever his potential, would surely be folly Capello can ill-afford to indulge in

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-sport/football/article-23873320-defending-englands-honour-is-fabio-capellos-big-worry.do

I had abit of a rant at him on twitter   Tongue

Quote from: me
Just read @JamesOlley review of England's defensive problems and why Cahill playing for Bolton pretty much means he isn't good enough to play for England! Would this be the same Bolton who took a player deemed not good enough by Aston Villa and put him in five England squads? The same Bolton who took a untested youngster in Jack Wilshere and put him in the #Eng in six months? The same Bolton who have the current most capped U21 player? The same Bolton who produced possibly the finest centre forward this country has, and will ever see? Condescending isn't the word, pure ignornace for any team not classed as 'fashionable' would be. You say throwing an untested player in wouldn't be wise, why would it be any more rational to throw in a proven international faliure like Matthew Upson or someone just as untested in Michael Dawson? Gary Cahill is twice the player either will ever be. Unfortunetly he will probably only get the recognition from yourselves as being such when he goes to a top four club. James Olley's views, which seem to be shared by the general media, and the backwards thinking England management staff, is EXACTLY the reason why I've given up on England. #bwfc

The thing is though you can be angry at the England players without being angry at England itself. It isn't their fault they are continuously picked, nor is it their fault that we haven't got many (any?) replacements close to being as good. I don't see the sense on "giving up on England", they'll be here long after Capillary and his merry men have retired. I probably won't be watching for the same reasons as most, but I will be back as soon as the current management have gone - hopefully taking its attitude players with them.

I

I have my fears that the foureyed Italian wanker will go with Dawson and Upson against switzerland, was good to see Gary finally given a chance and it got a large cheer in the pub that I was in when we saw him getting ready to come on.

The wanker will play Upson instead of Cahill against Switzerland and say it is because he has ''experience''

Pleased for Cahill to finally get his cap. Why was Upson out last night?

According to NOTW...

...Upson was furious after being left out of the squad and demanded an answer as to why.

I'd have had a good answer for him. Then I'd have told him to fcúk off home and I'd have called Roger Johnson, Ryan Shawcross or some other player who is miles better than him. Titus Bramble would even fill that criteria!

If he plays ahead of Cahill in Switzerland I hereby vow to never watch an England game again until Capello leaves.

I totally agree, Upson is rubbish, after we beat West Ham even the majority of fans on the KUMB site were saying the same thing.

Further proof as to why he should be excluded.

I'd have Terry Butcher NOW still playing over Upson.
