As much as I've still not forgiven England for their shocking World Cup and they will have to go some to win back the countries belief again, the Euro qualifying starts on Friday at Wembley v Bulgaria.

Also got a brand new kit, which I think looks alright tbh, not quite sure on the +'s near the shoulders though,  the timing is awful, £50?!? OK maybe if we did well at the World Cup but this kit will probably not be worn at the Euro championship's[if we qualify]

Walcott looks like the player of the Prem so far but quite a few players are out like Lampard and Terry, also will be able to see a bit more of Martin Petrov.

I like the kit.

I may pay passing interest if Cahill plays. Don't give a flying **** apart from that.

Why is it being played on Friday? How random. If it's on in the pub, then I'll probably keep my eye on it. I'd imagine Cahill won't make the bench, let alone play any part in the match.

As Petrov is playing, I hope he scores, they win and England fail to qualify (although that is more of a long term ambition). As a tournament, Euro 2008 was far better than the World Cup, in most part because England weren't in it. A repeat of that would be lovely!

I'm sort of liking your thinking, but the whole Petrov fúcking over the whole nation may backfire.

Why are all the games now being played on a Friday night instead of Saturday? I know internationals aren't everyones cup of tea but I know a lot of people from my neck of the woods who are fanatical England fans who never miss a game.

This just makes it more difficult for them to get to games. I was going to say typical FA, but it seems everyone is at it, does anyone know why all of a sudden weekend internationals are being played on a Friday??

You have the good fortune to be born English yet you want the England team to lose??? You should be ashamed of yourself.

If you hate England so much give up your passport and  go and live somewhere else, then you might realise how liucky you are

Blatter changed it so players could go back to their clubs a day earlier[given more time to prepare] so it's Friday/Tuesday instead of Saturday/Wednesday.

Looking at the fixtures we do have one game on a saturday and that's Wales away on the 26th March next year.

I hate the England football team, not the country itself. Have done for years. If they play like they did during the World Cup, I'm sure a lot more people will cone round to my way of thinking. As for giving up my passport and emigrating (though technically I would need my passport for that), that's a bit excessive, but cheers for your input.

I don't want England to lose, but seeing certain players make an almighty cúnt out of themselves does appeal to me.

I don't like the FA either. If/when Capello fails it will also mildy amuse me.

Fair point. Makes sense from a players' point of view but it's a big fcúk you for anyone outside the M25 who wants to attend the game.

Sorry but I cannot get my head around that, maybe it's just my generation but if you are English you should support any Team wearing the England jersey. EG I don't like or understand Rugby Union, but when England were in the WC Final in 1993 I was supporting them all the way .

Same goes for any sport, if England are playing, support them,to say you want them to lose, sorry I just don;t understand

I couldn't care less if England win at Rugby or Cricket. Such sports don't interest me. That said, I wouldn't want them to lose. That honour I keep solely for the football team! I can do without the hype, bullshit and knobheads who haven't watched a game since the last twatting tournament, yet aparently feel qualified to talk for, well, England to talk about the game.

Plus, I'd rather emigrate that cheer for Ashley Cole, Terry, Lampard, Rooney etc. Players who are playing for the money and publicity the England shirt brings instead of the honour it bestows. fcúk them. It started out as apathy: I didn't want them to lose, but I felt no joy when they won. Now, I actually want them to lose. It amuses me. I'm telling Euro 2012 will be far better if England aren't involved.

Have to agree with DH in regard to the Euros being a better tournament last time and that was because England weren't in it.  We didn't have to listen to the media big them up and then have to watch them implode as their regularly do.

Don't wish for them to lose; however, that could be that I'm lagging behind DH and am still in the apathy mode.

Internationals, for me, are just an irritant as they interrupt the league games.  Oh, and WHY does it have to take 2 years to qualify?  That's just money grabbing FIFA.

I am English til I die and will always want us to win whatever sport we are in, but part of me is with DH here. Capello to me failed in the summer, and we are only keeping him on to avoid paying him off. So he is in a job he shouldn't be, and as a result I have no motivation at all to watch England whilst he is in charge.

The national game is screwed anyway. If we are even talking about Arteta playing for us, we might as well give the game up now and admit to the world we will never again be the kings of the game we gave the world.

I'm going to be in Germany tomorrow when they play Belgium. Be interesting if this supporting 'cancer' has spread throughout Europe. It wouldn't suprise me if it has.

I never thought I would find a reason to support Belgium. I'd get some face paint if the twatting colours weren't the same.

I have realised there is more to being English than the Engand national team and depending on the team that plays for the first time I may be cheering on Bulgaria, I never thought I would think that especially after slagging off a few others before the world cup but the fact that 2 of our players decide now is the right time for surgery so the dont miss vital Chelsea games does not sit well with me what so ever.

I've no interest, but I draw the line at cheering on a bunch of gypos, Sharps & you've surprised me with that attitude. Next you'll be welcoming them onto Green Lane cricket club.

If Upson plays ahead of Cahill I'll be cheering on Petrov. Don't care who wins out of either team tbh, hope Petrov scores, plays well and doesn't get injured.
