La Liga is shite, it's like watching basketball.
There's no tackling or physical contact and teams just take turns to attack.

Even though Barca got knocked out of the Champions League to Inter in the semi's, they're still the best football side in the world IMO and the best I've ever seen, they definitely play the best football, was a joy to watch them win 3-0 at the weekend, and even under Mourinho it will take something special from Real to come 1st, the new era under Mourinho didn't start very well with their 0-0 draw.
England may very well be the best league overall, both leagues full of star names, in La Liga they have players like Messi, Ronaldo, Villa, Kaka, Higuian, Forlan, Aguero, Xavi and Iniesta. The prem like Tevez, Rooney, Torres, Drogba, Gerrard, Arshavin and Fabregas, the Spanish/Portuguese/South American homegrown players are more gifted than British in technique and skill. IMO I'd rather watch players doing attack postive football and doing nice passing, silky football[joga bonito/ Club de FĂștebol/tiki taka"] than the British kind of the grafters/blood'n'guts/workhorses" and kick 'n rush.

Barca 0-2 Hercules This is the type of game you could only put a million pound on Barca to get some money back from shite odds.

Xavi and Alves were on the bench, but that's about it.
Hercules just put two men on Messi all the time, Villa was trying too hard. Having said that, Hercules could have scored more. Valdes was MoM.

They had Xavi, Alvez and Pedro on the bench, all 3 came on in the 2nd half, but with the likes of Messi, Iniesta and Villa you would think they should still win.
I was shocked when Barca lost to Rubin Kazan in the champions League last season at home, so it can happen, but you don't expect this, it's like Backpool going to Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford, but on a different scale, Hercules had other good chances also.

Real Madrid looked equally pap.
That pitch at the Bernabeu was diabolical.

Hercules second goal was impressive.
I didn't watch the Madrid game, have only seen the Carvalho goal, which was a little fortunate.

Hercules looked good and they have some good players in the team - that Paraguayian striker is decent, Trezeguet, Drenthe, etc. Barca looked really poor. I am kicking myself because at half time Hercules were 1-0 up and you could still get odds of 10/1 on betfair on a Hercules win. I was tempted to put some money on but I thought no surely not.
To be honest, if you take out Real and Barcelona, most of the other teams are nothing to write home about whatsoever. Whereas in England I think there is so many more stronger teams - Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Man City, Everton.
I think if England was located where Spain is then England would attract every big named player in the world. No offence to you lot in the Manchester area but if you are a millionaire footballer, places Barcelona and Madrid appeal a billion times more as a place to live than the likes of Liverpool and Manchester. I mean which player wants to live in Johnston's Fold?

It's where the foreskin and the main shaft meet, I think.

I had a hunch they might win; gutted I am. The premier league is the top dog and thus the place to be.
