I have been watching la liga today, I have to say la liga looks the place to be if you are a top player. Barcelona looked fantastic with Messi, Iniesta and Villa up front and have players also like Mascherano, Pedro, Xavi, it seems like everyone wants to play for them and Madrid.
Madrid are on TV now with Mourinho in charge. They have a fantastic squad of players, players like Ronaldo, Kaka, Ozil, Ramos, Di Maria, Benzema, Khedira, Xavi Alonso, etc.

When you look at the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal right now, they are losing key players to Spain and the world's stars don't seem interested in playing in England. I know the weather is crap and cities like Manchester and Liverpool are totally different to cities like Madrid and Barcelona, players like Mascherano and Ronaldo couldn't wait to leave. Robinho was the British record signging and couldn't stand living in England.

Is the Premiership on a slump and falling way behind the Spanish league?

I honestly do not care wether not Sky's brainchild is losing its star names, I would sooner us did well than worry about the Ronaldos of this world fcuking off to sunny spain.

Depends what entertains you.

If you want the best league in terms of passing and technique. Watch Spanish League. Not very competitive in terms of top vs bottom.
If you want fast paced games with some competition and unpredictability, but still a fair amount of inevitability about who'll win then watch the Premier League.
If you want to watch cheap football but know that there is a good chance the game is rigged then watch Serie A.
If you want to watch competitive games, good technique, football finance under control and cheap admission to games then watch the Bundesliga

Bundesliga is far ahead of La Liga or the Premier League. But hasn't got the high profile names- mainly due to the things that make it so good- like financial sensibility.

Personally I'd rather watch the Premier League than La Liga. Faster paced football- even kick and rush- appeals to me more than slow build ups which can become quite boring. Also Madrid and Barcelona are way ahead of anyone else to a ridiculous point- and trying to keep up with them becomes a risk- see Valencia's finances.

I have to agree with you about the Bundesliga. I have now got ESPN and watched the Leverkusen v Monchengladbach game today, it ended up 3-6, it was fantastic.
The German league is getting some good players recently, Ribery, Robben, Van Nistelrooy, Raul, etc. It was a shame they lost Ozil and Khedira to Spain.

Last season the English clubs failed miserably in the champions league, first time in many a year that we had no English teams in the last 4. As a football fan I have to say what is happening at Man Utd with the Glazers is a disgrace. They lost Ronaldo for £80m and it seems like that money went to pay off debt rather than investing in the team. I mean signings like Owen and Obertan were a joke.
Abramovich at Chelsea also seems reluctant to spend on the team any more. Arsenal disappoint me so much, they have some excellent young players but they are crying out for a few world class players but Wenger won't do it. Liverpool are going backwards fast. Thank god for Man City bringing some exciting names to the Premiership like Balotelli and Silva, but Silva can't get a game.

HAHAHA brilliant!

To be honest, I don't think the Premier League as a whole is behind La Liga. If you look at teams like Fulham who you would consider to be what, mid table at best in England, they matched Atletico Madrid in the UEFA cup final who are considered a top Spanish side. It's only really Real Madrid and Barcelona that are massively ahead of the rest of the teams in Spain that make the league look good. I'm not saying it's a bad league but I think the standard as a whole in England is much better than in Spain.

Don't know why I am asking, but here goes why would he need to bring his dinner with him if he is just going to end up in a sports bag in some random bathtub?

What's with all the sports bag/bathtub references?  Is it some English thing?

If it's Americee, he'll have no idea about other countries current affairs seeing as their news programmes go as far & wide as Texas & Portland.

Peders is American (the H Pedersen that posts on here - not the Pedersen one who posts on here also, or the real one - assuming that isn't the one who posts as Peder... oh you know what I mean!)

Anyway he was working in Korea at one time but I think he is back in the USA by now.

I'm sure he will tell you himself when he is next on.

I guess America as plenty bags in the bathtub type murders and loads of other wacky killings anyway, so ours isn't going to big news over there really is it?

I think we need to cull a few of these spics and jews, too many foreigners on here that we need to spell things out for.

I think Texas Hank II should be the first to go.

How the hell are Spurs close to agreeing a deal for Van De Vaart when the window has closed, one rule for them and a different one for everybody else I assume.

They only have to fax the details to the FA by 6, then the FA will ratify the deal as and when they get round to it.

There must be more to it than that, in hindsight you could fax them in the morning and then have all the time in the world to sort the deal out.
