Confirmed on the official site. EBI SMOLAREK joined Bolton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon after penning a season-long loan deal with the Club.

I do think Racing had jumped the gun though because he didn't have a medical until last night. If he'd failed that then the whole deal would have been off. Hopefully Smolarek and Elmander can form a decent partnership. |

I'd keep him in the side but probably play him behind the front two. He wins so many flicks and has to chase them himself. If he's in behind two forwards his flicks will actually provide something.

Maniche i wouldnt mind but for 8mill, no thanks.
Someone on WWs mentioned a late bid for Nolan from Everton? I really hope not as he's obviously the most influencial player in our team as we cant win without him. Wouldnt blame him for leaving after the idiots on saturday.

Maniche has been linked on the Setanta Sports website. http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/09/01/La-Liga-Atleti-reject-Maniche-bid/Atletico Madrid are believed to have rejected a bid of €10 million (in excess of £8 million) from Bolton Wanderers for Maniche.
Gary Megson has targeted the Portuguese midfielder and will hope that the fact the player is out of contract next year may finally convince Atleti to sell.
Dzemaili has gone on loan to Torino. http://www.burndenaces.co.uk/news/?id=638Bolton midfielder Blerim Dzemaili has joined Italian side Torino on a season-long loan.
Dzemaili signed a pre-contract agreement at the Reebok in February of last year, but suffered a serious cruciate knee ligament injury prior to completing his move.
Despite featuring heavily during the pre-season campaign, Dzemaili has made just one competitive first team appearance in the last year, in the FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United back in January.
With his chances looking limited in England, Wanderers boss Gary Megson has agreed to loan the Swiss international to Torino.
It is understood the Italian's will have the option to make the move permanent if Dzemaili impresses.
As for the Nolan rumour, he's linked to Everton every time the window is open, he won't be going anywhere. |

Well that's it. In all honesty, I'm quite happy we didn't panic buy. Look at our previous deadline day signings and where are they now.
Two that stand out for me in recent times are Fabrice Fernandes and Grzegorz Rasiak.
If we do okay between now and January then we'll go out and improve the squad, if we're not sitting well in the table we can go out and do something that will improve the first team.

He was unsuccessful in terms of Chelsea's standards, but he only played 8 games for them.
How useful was Anelka in his first 8 games for us?
