Nice to see Whittam propping up the league.

She knows about football, apparently.

The rules have been changed to stop me winning this year.

Question for Manny:  Now that the first goal vs. West Ham has been credited to Davies, will you be amending scores for everyone who predicted him as first goalscorer?

ETA: nevermind, read the rules again, tis a shitty rule Manny but rules are rules I suppose  Wink

Where has it been credited to Davies? I've not seen that. Like you spotted in the rules though, it was an Upson og at the time and will stay that way.

Heard it on the broadcast today... whoever was doing co-commentary with John Champion said it had been given to Davies now.  I took him at his word, haven't looked it up (where do you look up stats like that?)

I was a slow starter, but just a point behind you now. I think I'll be taking home the trophy again come May.

The next result will sort the men out from the boys.

It's going to sort the Chelseas out from the Blackpools.

All the stats are on this site in the player profiles section but I've just checked the Premier League to double check.

http://www.premierleague.com/page/Statistics

There's something in the BN today saying the goal has gone to the panel so he's not got it yet but might do whenever the meeting is.

Wikipedia states that the Dubious goals panel meets 3-4 times per year and assesses all the questionable goals previous to that meeting, at which point they then amend the official stats.

That's a ridiculous rule.

So you pick the right goalscorer but just because some tosspot at the Premier League headquarters can't see properly you don't get any points.

I should be top of the league. I demand an inquiry.

Wind it in Whittam.

Manny has it in for me.

First he stops points being given for predicting Bolton won't score because I was a genius at it last season, and now he's denying me points even though KD scored the first goal at West Ham.

Let's have a look where Manny is in the league......oh, I get it now.

Your ranting and raving was part of the reason that brought about the change so don't be a hypocrite. If you don't predict a goalscorer, you'll get no points. End of.

For the new season you need to make predicting Bolton won't score worth a lot less than actually choosing a proper goalscorer. I think I predicted Bolton not to score 95% of the time and ran away with the league.

As for the 'ridiculous rule' regarding the dubious goals. That has been there since the game started last season and nobody complained about it so don't start now just because you haven't got your own way.

I don't understand what your problem with the West Ham game is. You predicted us to lose 2-0 so even if it was changed to a Davies goal, you wouldn't be any better off points wise.

As things stand, it's still an own goal anyway:

Thanks for giving out my private thoughts.

I was actually campaigning on behalf of others who were cheated.
