Now I only get the News of the world for the sports bit but this section about how they think we look before the season begins just fcuking annoys me. Especially the part where it say's about our side looking lighter than the teams that have come up?......Who the hell is this joker who thinks that we have a team that is worse than Blackpool, West brom and Newcastle http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/899761/BOLTON-20102011-SEASON-PREVIEW.html

It probably won't get published because it isn't agreeing with him, but here is my response to the article.
---------
Jeremy, you sir are a clueless moron. How Coyle kept us up last year beggars belief? We beat Burnley, we beat Stoke, we beat Birmingham, we beat West Ham, we beat Wolves, we were robbed of three points against Fulham, and we battered Wigan 4-0. So we beat the teams around us, which says to me where we finished was earned. It wasn't a glamorous season, but considering how it was when Coyle joined, it was a good achivement in a few months.
From that squad, we have lost Wilshere but he was never ours in the first place. We've kept Klasnic, added Petrov, and improved depth with Blake and Alonso.
Blackpool have signed nobody. West Brom have signed a couple but no obvious ground-breakers. We've shown we can be better than Wigan, West Ham, and I still don't think Newcastle are good enough to stay up.
So how you can believe we will be lucky to survive, that is what "beggars belief". Typical ignorant journalism, and will make sure I continue not to buy tabloid rags like this one.

For what it's worth, in the Sport section of The Times today, they had us 14th in their season preview.

Was it not 16th, with Newcastle in 15th? Or were Newcastle 13th and us 14th?

obviously we have a better squad than blackpool.
Haven't looked at the West Brom squad, Newcastle are a big big club though so they will challenge for top honours i've no doubt.

Ever stopped to think that his assessment is actual more balanced than yours rabz? How can you give a non-biased report when you openly claim to be Bolton's number one fan? If I asked you for an honest assessment of your girlfriend or Mum would you be able to be completely honest? Of course not....we tend not to see the bad things in the people we love. The same applies to football. Outside of Bolton we are relegation fodder. Leaky defence, shot-shy attack and a manager who jumped a sinking ship when the heat got too much. That's the honest truth I'm afraid.

Tony Cascario is my new favourite pundit - he's predicted us to finish the best of the rest in 9th. That said, his predictions have less credability when he put Blackpool to stay up and Everton to finish 4th.

I'd like to think I do actually give a pretty balanced view on Bolton. Obviously there's a bit of bias in what I say but nowhere near as much as most. But I refuse to give a knee-jerk reaction to one-off things, good or bad, and I really don't believe we are relegation favourites. I don't think we should have been last year, and neither did the board otherwise Megson would have been given the time to turn it around.
I just thought it was an ignorant dismissal of us and how well we actually did to turn it around last season, to the point where people forgot we were ever even in a battle to stay up. If we had just been promoted and were heading into our second season I could understand it but we have been around for nine years now, longer than 10 current Premiership clubs.
Its about time we got a bit more respect from people.

I suppose he owes us one. After his comments about Bolton and Coyle he was on, what I'm referring to as the "Cu,nt List" along with such great names as Stan Collymore and Piers Morgan. I suppose Jeremy Butler can usurp his place.

In my eyes, Collymore has a list all to himself. Total fuckwit! I'd love to read his pre-season predictions. I imagine we'd finish bottom!

He's a Blatant Pie-eater: THIS could be the last season where Wigan have to plead with fans to turn up to watch the team.
Boss Roberto Martinez's Latin links have helped him put together a side set to thrill the pants off punters.
After a year settling in, Martinez has turned the top flight's most dour outpost into a hotbed of action.
He already boasted the exciting Hugo Rodallega in his line-up, a player sharp enough to catch Arsene Wenger's eye, and now he has added Mauro Boselli.
Add in the exhilarating wing play of Charles N'zogbia and the electric pace of Victor Moses, an explosion of goals is on the cards at the DW Stadium this term.
That prowess up front is backed up by the midfield muscle of Hendry Thomas and Mohamed Diame as pound-for-pound the Premier League's most fearsome looking twosome.
James McCarthy adds some Scottish flair and another kid from north of the border, James McArthur, is expected to impress once he finds his feet.
The backline is marshalled by England's forgotten man Chris Kirkland, who on his day is one of the best in the business.
And at left-back, Maynor Figueroa has the class to launch dangerous raids down the flanks.
So Martinez has the components of a decent side that will be target Europa League qualification as an achievable goal.
But this mob will never hit such heights until their manager can sort out a rather embarrassing Achilles heel. Last season his players gave up the ghost at the first sign of a defeat.
Twice they threw in the towel as they were thrashed 9-1 at Spurs and 8-0 at Chelsea.
And don't forget them twice shipping five goals against Manchester United as well as the four goals they conceded at Arsenal, Portsmouth and Bolton!
Martinez insists he has got to the root of the problem and he'll need to sort it out or Wigan will finish the campaign looking over their shoulder. "Hotbed of action" Hotbed of shite more like.

Collymore is very good at what he does. He saying outrageous things about various clubs, so he gets you all going, phoning in ergo good audience figures.

Fair point. I have only listened to his show once and that was during the Coyle saga. I agree, if he was just a normal pundit not wanting to upset anyone it would make for dull listening, but he seemed to take the Coyle move very seriously for a man who had no emotional connection to either club. I was listening to it with my girlfriend's dad who is a Burnley fan and even he agreed that Collymore seemed more emotional about the whole affair than any of the Burnley fans calling in. It's one thing trying to boost ratings but, if someone is that good at being a twat, I suspect they are a twat!

Is their no footage anywhere of Andy Todd twatting him? You could tell Collymore wasn't used to getting hit back. He shíte it when Andy started swinging at him.
