Well we are just over a week away. The transfers are all being finalised now, the 25-man squads being decided, and everyone is starting to crave domestic football again following an uninspiring summer in South Africa. So who do you think will win what? Who is coming up and going down? I'll dig this thread up again during the season and see how our predictions are turning out. Feel free to add your own sections, this is just what I thought of.

Domestic cups

FA Cup: Tottenham Hotspur
League Cup: Aston Villa
Community Shield: Chelsea
Football League Trophy: Sheffield Wednesday

Premiership

Winners: Man Utd
Champions' League qualification: Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool
Europa League: Tottenham (Man City if it goes to 6th)

Relegated: Blackpool, West Brom, Wigan

Championship

Winners: Middlesbrough
Promoted: Nottingham Forest
Playoff winners: Ipswich Town (possibly Sheff Utd)

Relegated: Scunthorpe, Barnsley, Watford

The Championship really isn't an easy division this season!

I'll leave the rest of the Football League for those of us ITK, what do you all think?

Manny, sort Rabz out!

He's just knackered a potential 15 or so separate threads to discuss them individually Grin

Kamara has Burnley to win the Championship..... he also had Peterborough to finish 3rd last season....

It's difficult to call but Boro, QPR and Cardiff will all be up there I think

Have Middlesbrough made some good signings this summer because from what I saw of them last season they'd be lucky to make the top half, never mind promotion.

Kris Boyd and Kevin Thompson to name a few, they have spent over 5m on transfers overall, nearly double what we have spent!

I'd rather not spend, than buy shite from a pub league.

Same. Coyle would have done much better with that kind of money.

I remain unconvinced at that.

The pub league north of the border is a poor place to shop for a club looking to stake a claim for the top half of the Premiership, but makes perfect sense for someone after promotion out of the Championship. Especially for someone managed by Gordon Strachan. Middlesbrough lost their first game but Ipswich aren't a poor side. They could both be up there come May.

It looks like my first wrong prediction of the season is here with United heading for the Community Shield. I'm also changing my FA Cup prediction to Tottenham - next year ends in 1 you know.

A little piece of dreamland there Aarons. We win the League Cup and Blackburn go down? We can only hope.

I like the way Ashley Cole tries to fly into the box.
