Hodgson on Lee:

""Sammy has erased his whole time as Bolton manager from his memory and I am very pleased he has done so!"

Good for you Sammy. I wish we could as easily erase your decisions, we might not be trying to pawn off the likes of Hunt and Samuel who are on silly wages.

I dont know how some people can hold him in any regard, I hate the man for what he did to our club. I just hope I run into him someday so that I can tell him what a shower of ineptness he really is.

fcuking hell, I wish we could erase you from ours you scouse little shíte.

Unfortunately you've left us with scars from signings such as Gavin McCann and we're only just about recovered from the rest of the shíte you left us with.

Man, what a little fcuking tosser. I felt kind of sorry for him when he left but if he's coming out with comments like this he can piss off.

I bet he hasn't totally fcuking erased it from his memory, I am sure everytime he goes to the cash machine he is reminded of what an utter fcúk up he made at the club when he see's his compensation deal still in the bank.....bet the scouse twats not forgot that little gem.

Why has Hodgson even brought this up by the way, and who the fcúk asked him about Lee's time with us?

Easily our worst manager ever, eclipsing Megson,Mulhall,Mcgovern, and fcuking hell even worse than Charlie Wright,so how does that give the little scouse (unt a say in our club, sour grapes tastes better with a spoonful of anthrax.

What a random/strange thing for Hodgson to say.  Lee obviously is trying to ingratiate himself into the new boss's long term plans (hold onto his job).

Lee obviously was telling him about how distressing it was to so completely fcuk up a club he'd played for and had been a coach of and how he's only now finally gotten over it.  Lil Sam?  Lil shíte, more like it.

I hate Sammy Lee far more than Megson.

Megson did his best to keep the club afloat with his limited managerial ability.

Lee was a disgrace who thought staying up was an irrelevance.

I hope Hodgson bins him off and he can never get another job in football and ends up an alcoholic mess who can't cope with life anymore.

Sammy was given the job by circumstance, it fit at the time and he was given zero cash to do it.  He was trying to get us to play more football on the deck but it was too much too soon.

I don't hate the bloke, but he wasn't ready to manage a club and we certainly weren't ready for the change of style he wanted to implement.

Same for me. It's not his fault Gartside went for the cheap option, nor is it his fault he isn't cut out for management. Though he doesn't need to come out with comments like this at all.

To be fair to him he hasn't though, it's just Hodgson's opinion on him. As far as we know that man probably remembers the little man doing his interviews looking nervous in an ill fitting jacket, trying to claim how he could 'see positives' in front of tv viewers. Now looking at him he seems much more relaxed coaching the Pool players just like he was during the end of Big Sam's era, a true antithesis of his managerial tenure. I'm in no way defending his time in the big seat with us but seeing as this hasn't come straight out of the horses mouth I'm treating it with a pinch of salt.

In that case it's a non-story, and there's no need for Hodgson to say it. Oh well, I won't be losing any sleep over this one. I lost enough when the little man was in charge!

The original post suggests Hodgson said it, not Sammy Lee.

It suggests it is Hodgson's opinion, it doesn't suggest Sammy Lee said it.

Sammy Lee was out of his depth, but he was left a shite squad and given very little time to change things.

Sorry Natasha it wasn't a reply to your post.

I agree, it doesn't say it came from Sammy Lee, so I think this at least just gave people an excuse to get off their chest what they feel about him lol.

Plus backroom staff leaving willy nilly lured by the prospect of working at a big club like Newcastle.

Didn't do himself much justice though did he; you know, with the signings that he made.

Maybe not, but he still wasn't given enough time.
