It did say I had to download the softwate, but even when it tried to open IE by itself it couldn't because because it said internet infected, I deleted it using malwarebytes in safe mode. But it took so much time and searching the net on my ps3 to find the correct help and also deleting the thing. which was hard work.
so you are defo rid of it now then eh or you need a bit more help? |

No it's fine now, mine was about a few weeks back, when It found 7 viruses in safe mode, I went back to normal mode and did a full scan and everything was back to normal and nothing else was found.
Not had nothing bad since.

I find it hard to comprehend you getting a computer virus, I can only assume you was downloading Jordans latest track on limewire. |

I think the thing that is finding viruses is a virus itself and they usually pretend they find viruses so you will sign up and buy the product thus fleecing you.

Firefox + NoScript + AdBlock is your friend. Never browse porn (or anything else) without them.

It's been confirmed that I got the virus from an email. But porn is our friends. I only go via a certain site with a very similar name to youtube. Is that bad on there too? I ran the spyware again and it picked up another trojan. Bastards! |

You're asking if a website that offers thousands of porn videos for free would be above throwing in a sneaky little script here or there that you wouldnt notice at the time? That might pester you with popup advertising which you cant figure out how to get rid of or turn off? I doubt you would get an actual virus from such a site, but annoying malware absolutely. |
