Lets face it we are gonna be in around Wigan next season, I'd rather he made loads of mistakes[if he plays] and gets Wigan relegated[or below us] rather than him getting games/experience.

That's a bit stupid, no offence. If we're relying on Wigan to be shíte to keep us up, that's pathetic. Plus, if Al Habsi is to be our no 1, then a successful season at Wigan will be beneficial in the long run. If he's shíte at Wigan to 'keep them below us' what is the point of him coming back? He'll never play a game for us. Therefore, you would rather we lose a promising keeper all so Wigan can finish below us? I'd rather him go there, play well, and come back with some Premiership experience ready to establish himself as our new no1 for years to come. Each to their own though. Wigan can still have a shíte season, I hope they do, as, like Jimbo said, if will give him more work to do to test those reflexes of his.

I don't see it that way at all IT.
Infact as the opposite.
If he wanted to leave Bolton, he'd have requested a transfer.
He seems very committed to Bolton- I'm not sure why exactly- but he always seems to say I'm happy to wait till Jussi leaves then I can be number one for years.
However it is important for him personally to get games, and even for us.
If we decide Habsi is starting 2011-12 season and he has about 5 cup games under his belt in the last two years then we are taking a massive risk no matter how good he is.
If he has 20 games under his belt at Wigan, facing a relegation battle, facing lots of shots every game, then it can only do him the world of good when he takes over Jussi's place.
I'm not saying that he wants to leave Bolton now Jimbo. I just think that if he plays well for Wigan, and they treat him well that he is going to get good feelings about the club. I doubt he has any particular attachment to Bolton except for the fact that we brought him to England. If he does well for Wigan then I think he will feel closer to them than he does to us, and if they make him feel wanted and they value him then he may wish to move there. I think we would have been better sending him to a championship side where coming back to us after the season would still be a step up, rather than moving back to a similar side where he will get less games.

I had a feeling he was off somewhere because he wasn't in any of the pre-season pictures with Jussi, Bogdan and that other bloke we have as a goalie. I'm all for the move as long as he gets some playing time. I think the Premier League will see what a quality goalkeeper he is, and with defenders like Bramble and that joker Caldwell in front of him, he's bound to get a lot of action. Confusing to me on Wigan's part, since they just released a half-decent keeper in Kingson.. I would be a lot happier with the move if it were to a side who actually needed a first team keeper. I hope Ali benefits from it at least.
Half decent? Kingson is one of the worst goalkeepers ever. Getting Al-Habsi in his place is like us getting Cannavaro to replace Gerald Cid

Jussi is far from injury prone, but for some reason I now worry about him.

Why do people get so damn worried over a loan signing? If he gets injured, we can recall him, bloody hell, he's only in Wigan it's hardly New Zealand is it!

Not necessarily. City weren't allowed to recall Joe Hart when Shay Given got injured last season and ended up loaning Sunderland's reserve keeper.

I can't see Wigan agreeing to put an option of re-calling him if Jussi get's injured as it would then leave them in the same positon as us if then Kirkland got injured.

He could catch all sorts in Wigan, their is more chance of him being safer in the Amazon than with Inbred wankers from Wiggin.

To be fair to people from Wiggin we have that in common, fair play to them.

I'd hate to see your reaction if someone important left the club.
Jussi never gets injured and is the best keeper in the Premiership. We don't even need a sub keeper, we'd be better just having outfield players on the bench.

Does anyone remember Peter Chech's orange kit? Bogdan should take that a step further.

There are days I have listened to some of the "controversial" shite Adrian Durham comes out with and wonders if he is Natasha Whittam. In fairness I like him, he is a very good presenter and a radical thinker. It must be hard to get a 3 hour talk show out of Darren Gough who has about as much grasp on football as some of the scrotes who sit in the ESL.

I think Ali still has 2 years to run on his last contract (I could be wrong there) so it'll be interesting to see if, when he gets games, he can keep his place at Wigan. He may well come back to us a much better keeper for the experience and perhaps worth a couple of million to someone if we don't keep him.

it is a bit of a shame that habsi has played next to no games for us. he was a young 24 year old goalie when he joined us - and but for having jussi in front of him he could have been number one with several years of premier experience under his belt and could be immense now.
it will be good for him to get game time but i was hoping he would get all the facup and league cup games for us - oh well.
my two concerns though are, wigan are our rivals in the league and it could end up vital if he does well for them, and also, if anything happens to jussi we have an unproven acadamy keeper to put on. not much cover really...
