Proved who wrong? They are head and shoulders above every other team in the world and were clear favourites from the off, so they've hardly had to prove a point have they?!

Meh. shíte World Cup.
Only team that really did anything to deserve winning WC was Germany.
Spain play good stuff but their constant diving and card waving is an absoulte disgrace. Can't say I saw any of Brazil in 1970 but if they acted like Spain they'd have had some big fucker defender come through them and break their legs for even daring to wave an imaginary card.
Agree with Diana, thank fcúk it's all over. Aload of overrated tosh.

Thank fcuk it's over. It will take football at least 4 years to get over it.
Just look at the final which was between the best two teams in the WORLD. Piss-poor control, wayward passes, shots going high over the bar and absolute shite finishing. If Rob Earnshaw had been Spanish they'd have won 3-0.

People saying they can't win it because of their history in the World Cup and because they lost to Switzerland, Check WW if you can, I got told I had no opinion by someone because I said Spain would win the World Cup, all I did was give an opinion and he slated me.

Holland were well dirty, De Jong could have broken Alonso's ribs just like when he Broke Holden's leg, that Van Bommel is a decent player but he's fouls so badly to often, could have easily have been sent off more than once in the tournament.

Howfen's right. It wasn't rocket science was it to back Spain. Even I did, so thank you Stan James as he's already paid me. Check your posts: You said so many, then he. Make your mind up, please. Spain came into this tournament the favourites.

I'm happy with my prediction because it has earned me money, I went for Villa for Golden Boot, but I believe that goes to Muller of Germany because he got more assists, I think Villa, Forlan, Sniejder and Muller should have got a Golden Boot each, a bit silly settling it on assists.

That's what happens on some forums unfortunately, you can't have a differing opinion without being slated. Luckily, the majority of the time here you're ok, but I smell a clique building...

I think the spanish fans are trying to break the 'Eros' statue in central London. They're also going ever so slightly nuts in the fountain at Trafalgar Sq and have been doing since full time.

Send the Navy up and see if they remember what their "Armada" came up against last time. Now the World Cup is over as a whole I can now say it was bloody dreadful. I can name on one hand (and I work hard at that) the amount of games I can remember now, never mind games I could tell to generations in the future. I don't think there's one "golden generation" that impressed me this year, the trouble to me is so many had their "A Game" at this World Cup that everyone was frightened of everyone. As a result, it was rubbish. It's not often I let Natasha's views run wild on a subject but seriously love, on this one, go to town on it. It's been diabolical to watch and to be honest I'd rather read you or azreal's opinion on it than type it myself.

It was ironic to see a load pissedup Spaniards in football shirts that had been out in the sun all day causing a disturbance. How insulting was that? We'd never do it in thier country.

Poor world cup and a very boring and predictable end.
Spains negative football prevailed again.
They pass the ball a lot. So fooking what? They win 1-0. Its hardly total football. They're a good side but noone is going to remember them in 10 years time. 70's Brazil my arse!

You are joking right, except really Chile, all their opponents have played with like 10 defenders, what are they supposed to do? Holland try and kick them off the field also. Spain negative? hahaha.. I think you mean their opponents. Should they give the other team the ball just to liven things up a bit?
