I have set this poll up to last two days. I have a bet on Spain to win it but they have looked far from impressive in this tournament. Torres just doesn't look right at all - I think Spain have to drop him now. The defence looks very suspect, Pique doesn't look solid at all, but they do have some fantastic attacking players. Iniesta and Xavi are just wonderful players and Villa is a fantastic striker on amazing form.
Germany on the other hand have thrashed England, Argentina and Australia, they seem to be playing really well as a team. But its just a week ago that we all thought crappy England who made hard work of getting through the group stage would beat them.
Holland did well to beat Brazil yesterday, they have some dangerous players. Uruguay, surely they cannot make the final and even lift the trophy?
Who do you fancy to win it now?

I think everyone is going to say Germany. They are in good form and are impressing people. Spain have been rubbish tonight against Paraguay but I do think that Spain raise their game against the big opponents, they have a lot of big game players who do come alive in the biggest games. They were very good against Portugal but some what sloppy against Hondouras, Switzerland and Paraguay.

Uruguay on penalties because they seem to have the luck with them.

Germany for me, though I think if there is to be an upset, it will be the Netherlands.

I'm sick of predicting now at this World Cup, it's impossible to call. One of these four will win it though.

Germany are far TOO strong for Spain, whereas The Netherlands are far TOO strong for Uruguay.  The final itself will be The Netherlands vs Germany.

As I live in the country I am bound to say The Netherlands.  But lets be honest whoever could beat the favourites, Brazil, will undoubtedly become favourites themselves.  It just takes one flukey goal.

I predict The Netherlands 2 - 1 Germany  with the winning goal coming from Klaas Jan Hunterlaar from a magnificent run and pass from Sneijder

I think Germany are unbeatable playing like they did against Argentina but it only takes one bad game and that their fucked but I can't see Holland beating Uruguay even if they did beat Brazil who just give up when Holland equalised.

Germany v Holland final

I think Messi will go unoticed to be honest. He doesn't turn in the same performances with Argentina as he does with Barca. I hope he does well as I have them in the sweepstake but I wouldn't be suprised to see them crash in in the last 16.

I think Portugal will struggle. Aside from Ronaldo, their team looks quite average.  Not 100% on Brazil either. In fact, the mnore I consider it, the more I think England have a half decent chance. I think it'll be one of the less fancied teams who do well consitently who will pull it together and reach the final e.g. Germany.

I also think Holland have a decent chance as an outside bet

Apart from the England blip, I'm quite proud of those predictions.

Have Germany's two wins in the knockout stages been as impressive in reality as what they seem? 4-1 against England and 4-0 against Argentina seem like incredible results by a very good team. But England were absolutely shocking in this world cup, no team spirit, players seemed exhausted, players like Rooney, Lampard, Barry, etc all were out of form. And Argentina, they were strongly fancied but the defence was poor (shocking defending for the German goals), the midfield seemed inept, Messi went missing. Yet in both games England and Argentina had spells where they really took the game to Germany and the Germans looked like they were on the ropes. In both games Germany scored 2 late goals on the counter attack to kill the game off.

I think people are getting carried away by Germany. Spain have big game players and before the tournament started everyone would have fancied Spain to beat Germany.

That sounds almost word for word what Andy Gray said on "Ticket to Africa".

I've gone for Germany but Spain could yet step up their game; and you are correct that Germany beat two (on their day) under performing teams in England and Argentina.

But whether they beat tired teams or not, they still did it. And did it in style. If England went through to Argentina I don't think we'd have even come close to beating them never mind by four goals. Say what you like about the deficiencies of the sides Germany have knocked out but scoring 8 in two knockout games takes a lot of beating, whether you are against England and Argentina or North Korea and Algeria.

Not many teams managed to destroy anybody like this even in the group stages - aside from Germany and Portugal. If Spain can beat them they will have definitely earned their place in the final.

I voted Spain, and as much as I have no love for the Spanish, I could never want the Dutch to win.

Well it's going to be either Holland or Spain, I'm pretty sure of that. Seriously though I couldn't care less now, really couldn't. We're out, our main rivals Argentina and Germany are out, my usual favourite team to watch is out in Brazil, a new World Cup winner is certain whatever happens... What the hell, Amos has had a tough time on here recently.

Come on Holland LOLOLOL!!!!!!

Funny thing is with the way Spain play while technically they are brilliant somehow it doesn't translate into great entertainment for the viewing public.
