Problems in the France camp only get even worse: http://www.skysports.com/football/world-cup-2010/story/0,27032,12098_6214358,00.htmlLoving some of the comments on there as well, what a bunch of idiots. Anelka is a superb footballer and he is their best striker by some distance, to send him home is even more of a disaster than their performances against Mexico and Uruguay and IMO they're screwed now. At least Anelka had the decency to keep his frustrations in the dressing room unlike a certain Wayne Rooney who felt the need to vent his to a TV camera with millions of people still watching. He's had a load of unfair criticism throughout his career, his life off the pitch is a quiet one unlike some of his Chelsea teammates, and I'm not saying it because he used to play for us, but he's one exceptional footballer that I was a massive fan of before he even came to Bolton. It brings a tear to my eye that we replaced him with that sack of shite you-know-who, and would love nothing more than to see him back here, although that will never happen.

Is it true that the French manager's mother was a whore?

I dont know where you have read that because I have googled it and I cant find anything.
Edit- I have seen Anelka's comments so I know why you have come to that conclusion, apperently calling somebody a son of a whore on the continent is quite frowned upon and something they say to each other now again to insult them. It is the same comment Matterazzi made to Zidane in the 2006 world cup final apperently

He has now retired from International football.
I heard the, say on SSN that he's had a bad reputation at all his clubs, which I found unfair because it appeared that he was nothing short of a perfectly behaved player while with us.

Lazy journalism again, jumping on the bandwagon and making things up to just go along with the perception.

I think a good time to whack my Anelka top on Ebay, before the useless French Fook ends up playing in the lower French leagues.

I've still got that picture of me and him too. If they get hoofed out at the group stages I gonna frame it!

ESPN had a bloke from L'Equippe on the phone this morning. According to him (in his thick French accent), Anelka called Domenech a son of a bitch and something else that I couldn't understand. Apparently this is a huge insult in France. I find it exceedingly amusing to watch the French world cup unravel...and caught on TV to boot. As for the players backing Anelka and accusing the French federation of sacking him based on what the media accuse him of saying rather than what was actually said, maybe they need a pat on the back?

But if Domenech is as useless a manager as he appears on the outside then Anelka has every right to his opinion. France have been nothing short of dire through this whole World Cup campaign including qualifying, shouldn't have been in South Africa in the first place, and are quite rightly looking like they are heading out of a poor group. I think Anelka might have been a bit over the top with what he's said but the guy's frustrated!
France, like us, are nations that should never be facing going out at this stage and every football fan in both countries should feel quite embarassed right now.
