"Nice to see your own fans booing you, that's what loyal support is".  - is what Wayne said to the camera as he left the pitch - clearly unhappy about it.

Happened tons under Megson too.

Players know when things are going crap - so does booing them serve any purpose at all?

After tonight's game, booing was the very least they deserved. The fact that Rooney's moaning about it makes him a bigger twat than most already thought.

If Capello had any balls, he'd drop him for someone who might actually contribute something.

Boo!

Worst game Rooney has ever played. Ironic he is the one having a go at the fans.

Formation, subsitutions, effort from players, application all awful. FULLY deserved to be booed.

It's alright for Rooney and Co on their all expenses paid jaunt to South Africa. They earn more in a week than the average fan earns in years. For the fans that went out there, they will have incurred large expense. Not saying that should guarantee victory but the fans deserve better than that. Plus, and I watched the game in the pub so I may be wrong, but they only seemed to noticibly boo after the game so if Rooney is looking for excuses, he'll need to look closer to home.

Correct, it shouldn't guarantee a win; however, it should guarantee a performance, which the fans were robbed of.

Oh, and I don't want to see the players on the TV post-match saying "it wasn't good enough".  Save your excuses.  The only thing I want to see/hear is the players giving it their all and at least trying to win.

Its funny isn't it, a lot of people slated us Bolton fans for booing under Megson. England draw two games and the fans boo (which I agree so they should have) and people are defending the fans. Don't you think its two faced though from those who criticised us Bolton fans for booing Megson when we were like that last night, week in week out?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

fcuking overpaid celebrity uninterested tossers all of them. Some of the people that went over there to support their country will have saved for months and maybe years to afford the whole trip, but because they're so fcuking deluded and live on another planet, they don't understand.

That so called performance last night was truly embarrassing and they should all be ashamed of themselves. They're not fit to wear the shirt.
