Gareth Barry is fit again and expected to start, with Lampard in the middle and Gerrard on the left.

Carragher is the most likely replacement for the injured King, while A Cole and Rooney should start despite picking up slight knocks against the USA.

The big decision for Capello is who to play in goal, with James the current favourite, ahead of Green after his blunder last weekend.

Kick off is at 7:30 and the game is live on ITV1 from 6:30

We'll win this because we have to, and because we are simply too good for Algeria. You could argue we'd have said the same about the US but to be honest I think we showed we were much better than them - we just didn't take our chances against a quality keeper, and of course we had our own cock-up.

But tomorrow is more a question of how we win. If it is a scrappy, fighting, bitty 1-0 win or 2-1 win from behind the knives will be out from some for Capello despite the three points. But equally a 4-0 win will make the same people assume the trophy might aswell be ours. It's a bit like a friendly in that respect.

I said this last time but this time we have no escape. Don't let me down England, or this time we really are in trouble.

I know Algeria are the poorest team in the group but I would be happy just to see a solid performance and get the three points in this rather than thrashing them about 5-0.

With Slovenia and USA drawing, we have a big opportunity to more or less seal the group in this game and that's why I would be happy with a 1-0 win.

We need to play with confidence and no nerves, then rip Slovenia to shreds.

Disagree, Big win is essential if possible with Slovenia and USA drawing.

If we have a better goal difference than the other two then if we do fcúk up and struggle against Slovenia at least we know a draw will see us through.

My god, this has been such an awful performance. All that hype that England could win the world cup, what a joke. We'll be lucky to win one match at this rate.

Not only do we look totally ineffective but this is so boring too.

This is so unbelievably shíte. Capello is actually worse than Megson for his substitutions...

What a shambles, who  does joe cole have to sleep with to get a game? As for Rooney's comment about the fans booing what did he expect? he's a multi millionaire, getting paid vast amounts of money to do a job he loves. Most of the blokes booing are average working blokes who have saved up for months, or even years, to go to South Africa. He played shite and deserves to be booed. If he went into a shop or restaurant and had that level of service he would be playing holy hell. He needs to grow up. Oh and can anyone tell me why Heskey and Carragher are considered better than Kev Davies and Gary Cahill?

IMO Joe Cole is the best creative player we have so I wish I could answer that and as for your 2nd question I can't answer that either because for me Cahill and Davies would have died for their country out there.

Too much pinned on Rooney, he has done fcúk all for england and he has got a pretty crap record for england.

We might aswell play with 10 men, Lampards a shaddow of himself in an England shirt.

Without a doubt the worst performance by an England team in my lifetime. A part of English football died tonight.

Where do you start with a performance like that? I’ll tell you, with a shotgun. Those England players couldn’t have cared less. No passion, no commitment and least of all, no actual footballing ability.

Wayne Rooney - was the worst of the lot in terms of attitude. He decided after about an hour it wasn’t his night so he sulked. The fact Capello didn’t take him off proves the fact that Rooney is bigger than the team.

Glenn Johnson – the worst individual performance I have ever seen. And I saw Barry Cowdrill. I can’t believe how many times he gave the ball away….and worst of all, he’s bloody unfit. Disgraceful.

Frank Lampard – Not good enough at this level. He’s had numerous chances, it’s time to admit enough is enough.

Emile Heskey – had someone told this fool to play in midfield. A target man is supposed to be just that, not helping out the fcuking defence. Kevin Davies would have done this role so much better.

Steven Gerrard – surrounded by fools admittedly, but how many times did he try to pass to a team mate when he should have gone on and had a shot? Grow a pair you remote control freak.

John Terry – Used to lead by example, now just passes the buck. And to the opposition.

But worst of all is the manager, totally clueless. He should be sacked in the morning to give us a chance.

What do people make of Rooney's comment as he walked off the pitch 'Its nice to see your own fans boo you'

Shocking, the arrogant tosser.
