It might not be a bad idea to just have one thread for both of the domestic cups to discuss the games that don't involve us, and I'm sure a mod can change the title as we progress through the competition.



The First Round of the 2010/11 Carling Cup was made yesterday and the main fixtures that stand out for me personally are a local clash between Stockport County & Preston North End, Portsmouth come down to earth with a bump following their relegation with a trip to Stevenage Borough - who last year were four divisions below in the Blue Square Premier. Also there's a localish tie at Carrow Road as Norwich City host Gillingham. The ties will be played the week commencing 9th August.

Why does a side who got relegated from the premier league always end up with a team that has just been promoted to the football league.

Lets hope Bury make the 2nd round for once so We can play them.
