Probably because I'm an old bugger but the fun of these Vuvuzela's have already worn off on me - and we've got another month of the Word Cup to go!

Is it just me who is a grumpy old sod, or is it what's in store for us, at all the Premiership grounds next season?

Pressure is growing on World Cup organisers to restrict the use of vuvuzelas following complaints from top players, broadcasters and fans that the deafening plastic horn is spoiling the tournament

I would have them at the reebok, better than sitting in silence for 90mins, plus the stadiums in most games haven't been full so it gets a better atmosphere.

Aaron, I'm not normally a violent woman, but if you come anywhere near the ESL with one of things, your farts will sound like a poorly bee for the next few weeks after, if you get my drift.
It's a fúcking football match, not Bolton carnival!

Haha easy now!

Was just saying a couple of them in the stadium might make it sound less empty, christ we need something to make it sound like a football stadium, there is more noise at overdale crem down the road than there is at the reebok latley.

God gave us voices, we should use them. Though to be honest, since they made stadia all seater the atmosphere in most of them is poor. Please don't make us have anymore instruments to try to create an 'atmosphere'. It's not one we want. Those drums are embarrasing.
Anyhow, I blame the scousers for all this.

They don't bother me, I'm to busy concentrating on the football.

I don't understand this sentence. Is it just me? Do you mute it, have yuo got earmuffs, or have you got special sections of your brain that can switch off your ears?

No because it's just noise from people who enjoy using them, I don't let it effect me because I'm watching the football.

Your I like people to be happy mentality is very irrirtating, people are (unts and if they are being (unts then they need to be informed of it.

Those things are fcuking irritating and like I have said before you go to football to sing not hear some stupid fcuking trumpet thing.

Irritating and do nothing but drown out any poor sods who actually do try and make some atmosphere. Granted the smaller nations like Paraguay or Cameroon aren't ever likely to sing much but the likes of England, Germany, Holland usually make a bit of a racket even at a World Cup.

And I'm with Diana every bit about not having them sodding things within 10 miles of the Reebok. A bass drum on it's own might not be so bad but a samba band is what we end up with, if we add these horns to the equation then the place will be even more emptier than it has been in recent years.

Irritating is not enough. Its like torturing your ear.

Nothing is ever going to be better than playing under a crowd of people singing and shouting at the ref when the tackles are to hard.

It was in the Confederations cup, it was in the African Nations, it's just background noise. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, it's part of African culture in an African World Cup, it's expected and it's not going to make a game worse, if so press mute.

No point complaining because it's only gonna get you more annoyed when you hear the sound, people complaining about the pundits, commentators, it's just part of football. Enjoy the game, accept the flavour of the fans in their country.

I fcuking hate them so much.

What is the point? Seriously why would you stand there for 90 minutes blowing a fcuking horn at a match? As the article rightly pointed out, it's spoiling the game for the majority of fans and players, it's an absolute pain to listen to and they should get rid as soon as possible.

Why do I get the horrible feeling that some numpties eg Diddly and his mates will turn up at the Reebok with these.

They would only add value if they drowned out the din from the special drummers.

Sort of things a grandad might buy a 4 year old kid for Christmas.

They'll be getting it right up their box if they come to the Reebok with one!

Actually I call it a box, it's pretty much a seat at the end of a row. And I'll make it quite clear now before the season starts, I do not allow anyone to get past me until the bloke blows the half time whistle.
