I think it depends on the country though. This is why I don't really agree with having this "political" hosts because it's obvious the likes of France, Italy, Spain, Germany and England would do a better job of hosting it. But Fifa are desperate to enhance the football brand I suppose.

Cheapest tickets in 20 years apparently, like 13 dollar, The ones that can afford tickets have to pick their games carefully to get to as good as games as they can for their money. Germany 06 also had better attendances because it's very central for fans from other countries where as S.A is on the other side of the world for most, hopefully it will improve after the group games.

Nobody else think the Algerian goalkeeper looks like Bruno? (not frank for all you old twats)

This match is so terrible there has been fcúk all to enjoy about it, If England dont  beat both of them at least 3-0 then there is something wrong.

At least the 2 other games are going to be enjoyable later today.

Not for the first time I seem to be agreeing with Sharpy!

This first game of the day was DIRE!!!  Even Big Ears and co are finding hard for things to say about the game!

In fact it has the most boring game of footie I have ever seen and beats, hands down, quite a few of Megsons game when he was in charge at the Whites

Marcel Desailly has the squarest head on the planet, I think ITV should have drafted in Big Ron so him and Marcel can bounce ideas of each other.

Far too "efficient".  Couldn't believe the power behind podolski's strike - blimey!  We had best start training for the Germans, when we meet them in the next round!

Very impressed with the Germans, Klose just missed an absolute sitter. They are tearing Australia apart

3-0 Muller, it could be double figures, Germany looking the best team in the World Cup so far, but  the opposition are terrible so maybe to hard to judge.

The aussies are a lesser evil today, the germans will strike back soon in the near future mark my words.  There trying to lull the rest of europe into a false sense of security and then before you know it, knock knock they will be there at Polands door.

There wont be anybody there like because there all here but you get my drift that there evil wankers plotting against us!
