Does this term not annoy anybody else?

I understand not everybody in the country watches football but your supporting the nation you were born in, its hardly being a fan it is just something that you do.

You dont have the name Paul Smith and declare yourself to be a Spain "fan", I am of the opinion that this is a politcal correctness thing and that people who want england to win because there english are actually Adolf Hitler reincarnated.

It is a difficult one this. There was quite a good radio discussion yesterday on whether English born people should support England.

I actually lost interest in the England national team a few years ago, probably back in the Sven era when he used to take the piss out of friendly games. Also the FA obsession with rebuilding the new Wembley on the old site didnt sit well with me.

I love Bolton, a huge lifelong fan even though I confess to enjoying a moan when we lose. Just my way of getting it out of my system, better than fighting for me.

Sure I'll be watching England on Saurday and hope we thrash the Yanks if only cos Obama really gets on my tits. Got my own personal, vested interest in the winners though.

Come on Germany!!!!!
