I was looking at some of the WC teams the other day and it suprised me, there were a few good players listed as 'unnattached'

Mostly older and foreign players- they might be poor in PL but a name I spotted in Mexico squad; Osorio? Better right back than Steinsson? Ricketts?

Jimbo - Osorio is a player I really like but he hasn't done anything in Germany and has been there a long time.  Good shout though.

*edit*  who else did you spot?

Not many too be honest. :-)

Looking back I may have embelished on the two in the Mexico squad and called them a "few".

And I certainly wouldn't fancy us getting Franco based on his West Ham performances.

That reminds me, Ilan wouldn't be the worst player to bring in. Suprised they are letting him go considering they are offering Boa 'cripple' Morte a new deal. Scored a few important goals in the games he played. Effective third/fourth choice striker. Maybe more of one if we don't get Klasnic.

Ilan is a good footballer, but he's not a goal scorer.  It depends where and what you'd want him for.

In answer to your question whitermy, I don't know, I don't think any Bolton fans know and I'm not sure even Coyle knows!

I can't see it being more than £8m to be honest, and I think it will be a 'ship out the deadwood' summer with a couple of loan signings and Coyle-esque players coming in on the cheap. I wouldn't expect any big namers to be heading to Bolton this year (or ever).

And why would u say such. Huh?
Or aint u aware of those times?....
Face the fact, am already amazed with d cadre of players we r linked to
Check....Wilshere,Marcus Alonso,petrov..e.t.c and all 3 av d possibilty of being secured without a transfer budget playing major role.

Come on mate I'm not expecting Shakespeare but I'm sure you can take the time to type in a way where people can actually decipher what you're trying to say.

He's from Nigeria, Chris.  English is the official language but most Nigerians speak a tribal language as their first.  I'd say he's doing okay.

Howfen - I too would not expect a big name on a big fee.  But if the Petrov thing is true we could get a name on a free who would massively improve our side.  If we had Petrov left and Lee right, I think we could then start to look to the strikers - as midfield would be pretty decent.  We'd have Mavies, Holden, Muamba, Davis etc competing for places, which is not at all bad.  We could then throw the majority of the budget at a couple of strikers and a leftback and i'd be pretty happy with the side for next season.  It wouldn't be world-beating, but we'd stay safe and could aim up the table.  Big ask to get Petrov though, obviously.

It would be a Natasha Whittamesque type signing.
