He's missed his last 2 penalties now and always seems a bit predictable about where he is going to aim for - that bottom corner. With Gerard and Rooney in the team don't you think its time Lampard was taken off penalties?

Its time Lampard was not even in the team, never mind taking penalties!

If Lampard shouldn't be in the 1st team , then everyone bar Rooney shouldn't either.
Yes Lampard misses penalty's but he scores more than he misses. I would give penalty's to Rooney, but if he misses one people will then hold it against him.
England have a history of penalty failure, the last time Lampard took a penalty in a big game he scored.[England 5-1 Croatia] I think he should practise more top corners because he does like to go low.

I'd say yes, but then again I don't care.
Why is everyone getting their knickers in a twist over the world cup and building up their hopes?
It's like thinking we are going to win the premiership next season.

I have to agree about Lampard shouldn't be in the team. He has never played well for England and to be honest I have always felt he goes missing in Chelsea's biggest games. He is good against weaker teams.

Lampard is one of those players who is great for his club but not for his country. The reverse of Crouch, who is brilliant for England but only decent at club level. The trouble is that a player who has his ability always "could" do something special at a big tournament. Personally I'd drop him, but it's a big decision to make.

Lampard usually outperforms Gerrard in an England shirt.
Neither match their club form but Gerrard rarely plays well for England.

I have never seen Lampard have a good game for England. He's a poor man's Per Frandsen.

What about when he scored twice against Croatia just about 8 months ago in our 5-1 win?
Both him and Gerrard were fantastic that night

The thing with Gerrard is that he at least has played well for England a few times, I don't recall Lamps doing so. Crouch always seems to step-up for England and Rooney does well usually. I agree Crouch isn't the best player in the world but he's good in an England shirt....he scores goals. For that reason I'd probably play him with Rooney. I'd also give Carrick a fair shot as he offers something we don't usually have, though Capello has tried out Huddlestone for that deep-playmaker bit.

Lampard was our player of the season twice in row back in 2004 and 2005, he had a very good Euro 2004 scoring against Croatia and France.
He then was our top goal scorer for the 2006 World Cup qualifiers and played a big part in qualifying for this World Cup.
May have lost a bit of form for England when McClaren was in charge, some idiots even started booing him, but he's one of the best midfielders in the world, he's a goal threat, scores goals for England.. 20 in 77 games .. and he his a great team player. He'll be 1st along with Rooney in the 1st team.
Players like Rooney have eclipsed him has our main player, but he still has lots to offer, has he's proved.

Him and Gerrard are two of the biggest reasons England have won zilch for years.
Both are undroppable yet play nothing like their club form.
