Not sure if anyone is watching it but Michael Ricketts has made the team, plus that idiot who is on ESPN now and again and did football italia on Chennel 4 in the 90's just ripped the hell out of bolton.

Ironic. Worst England player ever, and now this is being recognised by the worst excuse for a TV channel ever - Family Guy aside.

The whole program was a joke. You could have made a very good side with the candidates; Seaman, Neville, Ferdinand, Terry, Cole, Beckham, Robson, Gazza...
Very lazy, they just used the people that they had the most footage for.

BBC3 must have run out of programmes about "I'm 45 stone because I eat six fast food meals a day, I need surgery or I'm going to die but I can't because I have an irrational fear of white bedsheets: This is my story"

So what was the worst 11? Michael Ricketts was bad, but surely he was no worse than Darius Vassell? Unless that was his 'strike' partner?

John Fashanu was his partner. It showed a few clips of his 2 games for England. Looked pretty awful to be honest. His first touch was like Makukula on a bad day.

Ricketts was played on the right wing on his only england appearance.
hardly a fair test of a striker.

True true. He was out of form by the time he got the call up too if I remember rightly? Was trying to remember with a mate when it was on, who else made their debuts in that game? Vassell was one I think...

He had one game to justify his position in an england shirt If John Terry had played bad on his debut for england would he have been dropped? I doubt it somehow. Besides if memory serves me right he got subbed at half time.....not exactly given a fair shot IMO.

Did the programme mean worst players for England by peformance for the national team, or the worth players (judged over a career) to get a cap? Either way where is Seth Johnson in that side?

One of the so called ''experts'' on the show was neil ruddock so that says it all about the people who picked the side.

Well Vassell was hardly a shining light but in that game alone Ricketts was took off at half-time, Vassell scored a dramatic bicycle kick. That alone would probably render Ricketts in and Vassell out of this lineup.
