Bullshit! So if your accumulator came down to a United win, you'd still prefer them to lose? You're an even bigger dick than I thought!
Normally, I couldn't care less who wins the WC. As I can mkae some money out of the Argies winning, of course I'm going to hope they win. Be wrong not to!

Exactly, no silly amount of money like £50 would make me change my opinion on them losing. I know being a closet munich you cannot relate to that. Like I said, Come on everyone other than Argentina!

Haha! Cheers them on by all means. Whatever helps you sleep at night! I have no hatred of Argentina or a great love of England. Personally, I don't hate any team enough to want to piss away some cash but each to their own.

Not really. If you had Rochdale in the Johnstone Paints Trophy in a random bet and had a chance of winning £50 wouldn't you want them to win?
Had I not had Argentina, or any team in this sweepstake, I probably wouldn't have watched the WC.
Just an unwanted distraction till pre-season.

It's all irrelevant at the moment because if that moment comes then we will have to dump Germany out of the World Cup - something we haven't done in 44 years as we all know. If we can actually do it I've a feeling Argentina will be getting a bit nervous.

I dont have anything against Rochdale, I am talking about betting against your own team or wanting somebody you hate to win just for money.

I have had many bets when bolton have played and never bet against them, not much of a fan betting against your own team IMO.

I have put the odd accumalator on where we have been away against a big team or sometimes at home for us to lose but it would never make me want us to lose even if that was the game that would have won me alot of money.

That's exactly my point. I don't have any affection for the England football team. So they're not my 'own' team! Therefore, I'm free to cheers on whoever I got in the sweepstake as I don;t care about the other teams. Just like you would be in the Johnstones' Paint Trophy as you wouldn;t have a team to support other than the one you had money on. Bolton on the other hand I could never bet against. I always leave them out of accumulators so it doesn't come down to that.

Denmark and Cameroon both eliminated. That's Sluffy's interest in the tournament over.

Unless there's a mighty goal difference swing AND Portugal lose AND Ivory Coast win then my second side Portugal should be confirmed as qualifiers tomorrow (well, later today) I just hope they can somehow avoid Spain. However much like England-Germany, the Iberian derby looks destined to be whatever the weather.
