Out of all the teams that are going to South Africa, which team do you think could potentially be the surprise package? A bit like Greece were in the Euros last year.
For me I have a hunch that that the Ivory Coast under Sven could be that team, so who do you think could be the jack in the box?

I think the Aussies could shock a few people aswell as Slovakia who have some decent players.

Serbia I reckon. Reckon they'll get through their group-possibly even as group winners ahead of Germany.

The Netherlands, if they win Amos might get lucky, although saying that I doubt his package would surprise anyone.

I dont even want to know how you know about his package  Huh and as for the netherlands i would not say it would be a suprise if they won the WC they have good players like Robben and Van Persie.

Serbia, players like Vidic, Olic and Zigic are all brilliant.

Ivory Coast and Cameroon both have a good chance of going far aswell.

You mean when they went out in the first round?

I'd like to think Portugal but now I've drawn them in the sweep they've not got a chance. Something tells me France won't be as average as people are making out and with a more-than-winnable group they could make a quiet path to the Final once again.

I by no means thinks they will win it, but one or two of the African teams might perform on home soil a bit better than expected. I really don't know anything about them idividually, but will be supporting the home team "Bafana Bafana!" when they play.

Good topic BTW.

I'm going for England!

Think we might do better than what many expect us to do.

We will win it if the main players are fit: Terry, Gerrard, Lampard & Rooney.

I think we'll do well because if both us and Germany win our groups, we should be looking at a relatively easy path into the last 8 and providing you get the luck of the draw, it's anybody's from there.

I do think that when we come up against a top side, though, they'll turn us over.

I don't agree. Yeah, Spain are better than us but the rest are nothing special, even Brazil look shaky.

And don't forget England will have more fans than any other country bar the hosts and that will play a major factor.

I stick by my original prediction regarding England. We'll coast the group, get a winnable draw in the last 16 and win it, then it'll come unstuck in the last eight against someone good. It could be anyone from Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, France, Brazil, Argentina... we could beat them on our day but we very rarely do when it matters.

In fact apart from Spain in Euro 96 I can't name a time we beat any of these stronger sides at the finals - and that was on penalties.

We beat a poor Germany in Euro 2000 and an equally poor Argentina in 2002. They were not the strngest sides these two nations have ever produced though, hence why they both failed to make the knockout stages.

Hello and welcome Trotter.

What do you think about Cameroon - any chance?

(I've got them in the sweep you see!).
