I was reading what Sluffy was saying about the debt of the club. £70m plus and it seems to keep rising. If we were to keep faith with the current squad and just make loan signings could we survive another season in the Premiership?
We do have two quality keepers and the defence IMO is fine. We have plenty of numbers in defence. The centre of midfield with the players who are ours covers the positions - Sean Davis, Muamba, Mark Davies, Cohen, Gardner, Basham. We have options on the left side of midfield in Taylor and Gardner. We do have Chung Yung Lee on the right hand side of midfield and Riga but it doesn't seem like he is ever going to feature now. And then up front we do have Davies and Elmander. If we were to bring in a midfielder on loan such as Wilshere, a striker on loan to replace Klasnic, would that be enough to stay up another year or do we need to look to strengthen quite a lot to ensure we survive another season?

Not a chance. There's potentially three big sides coming up this season and I can't really see any teams with financial problems or that are pure shíte that will occupy some relegation spots for next season. So that means if we don't pull our fcuking fingers out, make some decent signings and shake it up a bit instead of hoof ball to Mr Tree, then we're going down.

Howfen, you sound more like Sir Nut with every post. I'm being realistic. It's very easy to fall into the trap of 'well we have Mark Davies and Chris Basham' who yes, I don't think are bad players, but compare them to players in other teams and they aren't exactly head and shoulders above them. We need a big shape up in personnel next season, Newcastle have kept a very good solid English core through their squad (Harper, Nolan, Barton, Smith, Taylor) and IMO look a better side already than they did when they went down, due to shipping off the underperformers on massive wages. West Brom do have the ability to stay up, and I would be worried if someone like Leicester or Notts Forest come up, I'm not really clued up on their financial situations but I would assume teams like that would have a bigger transfer budget than say Blackpool. I think this season has the potential for all three promoted teams to stay up, it's getting tougher and we need to make sure we're not slacking off and living in the past like we have done for about three years now, and make some signings that will really strengthen the team, not any of this 'slightly improve' it shíte.

I agree with a lot of stuff you just said. We'll be lucky to stay up again if we keep getting results like the last 3 seasons. During that time we've only got past 40 points once. It was more the " tree " or " stump " references Sir Nut put in every post. SKD according to stats Jimbo produced is still one of the best in the league at creating goals for others. If we had 10 more like him we'd be world champs

If we had 10 more of him, we'd have loads of chances but no-one putting them away. Or in net

Howfen, you sound more like Sir Nut with every post. I couldn't agree more. On another thread he blames poor defending by Birmingham for KD's goal but sublime finishing for Klasnic's goal. They were both identical goals in so much as they were clinical finishes from pin-point crosses. I used to like reading Howfen's posts, now they just bore me.

Have you been watching us this year?.....We need more than loan signings for sure, at least 1 10goal a season striker, wilshere on loan again, a new left back, a good cover or perhaps replacement for knight and another replacement in case cahill is sold....
So to your question we need more than loan signings or were fucked next season.

He should stick to admiring Laura Robson and counting down the seconds till she is 16.

I suspect he will lose interest at that point.

Talking about repetition of posts, oh the irony! Let's not mention Natasha's brown nosing of Micky Adams either. Tell you what Natasha, I'll stop mentioning KD when you stop mentioning other managers instead of Coyle. Deal? I couldn't agree more. What the bollocks? They were completely different. KD's was a header from a set play, Klasnic's was a left footed strike into the bottom corner from a short pass across the floor. They couldn't be any more different! So what are you trying to say, KD wasn't poorly marked? I praised the header, it was a very good finish, but he was put under no pressure at all by the Birmingham defenders. The 2nd goal was good feet from Weiss in and around the box and an instinctive finish by Klasnic. Both decent goals in different ways.

Laura Robson hasnt been mentioned for about 6 months fella so its harly repetitive and you are undermining Super Kev's header by highlighting the fact that the marking was poor. Nobody picked up Klasnic who was just standing there waiting for the ball it wasnt even like he made a clever run to avoid his marker just poor defending again.

I'll reiterate what Alex McLeash (sp?) said today:
Nowadays you have to spend money just to stand still; and standing still will see you relegated.
I'd like to see Klasnic signed permanently AND a 10+ goal a season, pacy striker signed too, along with work being done on the leaky defense.
Since Elmander wasn't involved today, can we assume (hope?) that we've already found a buyer...or is he injured?

Think its more that he is shíte, we have to offload him in the summer because he has had more than a chance to prove what he can do and we cant keep the faith with somebody who is clearly never going to cut it in this league. Its just really frustrating that we spent th Anelka money on that sack of shite and that we wont even get half what we paid for him.

It's a nice thought but will never happen. We are stuck with Elmander as no one will risk buying him. We already have KD so there's only room for one more striker which will either be Klasnic or A N Other.

There's a lot of time yet, I wouldn't be surprised if a French club came in for him. Here's to hoping anyway...

Im sure Sky Sports reported that at least 4 French clubs would be prepared to make bids for him in Jan.

I read last week that we were touting him to clubs outside of England.
He'll go elsewhere and be relatively successful. He's not a bad player. He's just shite in the PL.
A N Other striker would be used with/instead of Davies and/or Klasnic in my team.
