If this is true, I will be unhappy. I really like the guy.

If we dont buy a goalscorer in the summer, I will be fcuking enraged!

I don't think we will sign him, I think it's quite clear he's not an Owen Coyle player and I would be very surprised if we didn't see at least one new striker here next season.

I've got a lot of time for Klasnic, I think he's a cracking finisher but I can understand why Coyle would want to let him go. We're missing out on a bargain IMO, I'm just praying Coyle gets some decent strikers in as replacements for him and the chuckle brothers we currently have

It's a shame. Best finisher at the club since Anelka IMO.

With the money situation being as it is, I cant see many changes at all. Unless we sell Cahill the only notable differences will be Davis and Holden coming back in. It will still be Jussi, Robinson Steinsson etc with Davies and Elmander up front.

That should draw the crowds back.

I don't think we would get better value for money in the transfer window.

He can't last 90 minutes, how can anyone be suggesting we spend millions on him?

Klasnic CAN'T last 90 minutes but CAN score goals.

Elmander CAN last 90 minutes but CAN'T score goals.

Tash, who'd you rather have in the team out of those two?

It,s always going to be Coyles players coming in like fletcher, eagles, and if rumours are to believed carlisle(fcúk i hope thats all they are rumours).
But the one ray of hope we have is Owen is known to be tracking players heading to the world cup so a few surprises may yet be thrust upon us.

Seems to be confirmed by The Mirror's Alan Nixon -

Ivan Klasnic's hopes of a long-term stay at Bolton Wanderers is in doubt with his French club Nantes trying to find him a new home.

The Croatian striker has been a hit with the fans since joining Bolton on loan a year ago, but Owen Coyle is yet to commit to taking him in a full-time £1.5million transfer.

Now Nantes - relegated to France's Second Division - have contacted agents to tell them to arrange a move elsewhere for Klasnic as they do not want him back and are looking for a sale.

Coyle is taking his time over deciding what strikers he wants for next season and is relaxed about rival bidders coming in for Klasnic. He has other ideas about potential partners for Kevin Davies.

The Croat is keen to stay in the Premier League and his availability has alerted both Newcastle United and Stoke City. Nantes are in a rush to do a sale as they look condemned to another campaign outside the top flight in France.

Shame. Cracking finisher but Natasha is right, if he isn't fit to make it through 90 minutes every week then we'll find someone who can. While it is accepted that he is better than Elmander and more worth, that is hardly saying much. They both need to go, and be replaced by much, much better players. It's amazing the difference a proper goalscorer will make to this team if we can find him. I so wish we got Darren Bent instead of Sunderland.

No deal for one of our best player this season. Coyle wants a goalscorer. I cant see what Coyle is trying to do, but im looking forward to see who he will buy in the summer.

We've seen flashes of brilliance in the box but thats about it. I'd still sign him though for £1.5m or however much it is.

If he can come off the bench and score 7 goals then I would be more than happy. He's more of a striker than Davo or Elmo.

"You can never have enough goalscorers at your club" Owen Coyle has recently come out with. I find that laughable how he is not signing a GOALSCORER for a measly 1.5m

You can look at this at 2 ways;

1. He might only be 1.5mill but if OC keeps him then he might have told him with the strikers i want to bring in you will be on the bench for most of next season which i can not see ivan being happy with.

2. He is not keeping hold of him because of the kidney issue he has which means he can't play for the whole 90mins.

There is no proof it is even fcuking 1.5 million, people on here really piss me off when they winge about the manager when theres no proof to fcuking back up there claim or refute it.  Your going on as if were turning down Youri fcuking Djorkaeff, Klasnic is pretty good but he aint the bloody second coming.

It now looks like Coyle wants to keep him... Depending on the finances.

I think he proved today that he is worth signing and providing the money is right its probably the best bit of business we will do all summer.

Agreed, he didn't look massively shattered towards the end of the game, give him a rest then give him a full pre-season, I'm sure his fitness will improve.

If his wages are relatively low, along with the fee to Nantes, then definitely buy him.  Even unfit and slow he was able to bag 7 or 8 goals.  Image where he'd be when fit and starting/being involved in more games.

He definitely knows where the goal is and he knows how to put the ball in the net; priceless for a club like us.

If we don't sign him, look for him showing up at another bottom 10 club, scoring goals for them.
