Manny surely Sluffy or Danny could cover the site for you while you take a break to do revision & stuff?

They can and do cover the site and have done a good job in a tough year for me, for reasons which will remain personal (you reading this Amos?).

But despite being good at what they do on here, neither could have built anything for the site because, I'm guessing, they don't know the first thing about programming.

Plus, the last time I took a break from here, a civil war broke out over a prediction league!

Yes, sorry about that - that was all my fault!

I've only just learned how to switch the computer on, so I wouldn't have a clue about the technical side of the forum.

Fair play to everybody though - the suggestion to have a blog was a great idea, many people have volunteered to contribute of the own free time and effort, Manny as taken time out from his exams to build the blog thing, and people have contributed.

There is no timescales - we want to read stuff that interest the people who do the blogs - not just some words to fill up space.

I think what I was surprised at was reading into it that people who wanted a blog didn't have anything they were wanting to get off their chest's, right away.  I for one thought we would have a glut of blogs at the begining, with them dying down a bit after the initial rush.

I'm sorry if I've upset anyone but seeing that everything has been set up to do the blogs now could I simply suggest that anyone who wants to do anything, then please do so at your own pace - there are no deadlines.

I personally would be delighted if Natasha did want to contribute as a blogger - but the choice to do so or not is down to her.

Hope everybody is happy and knows now how things stand.

Thanks.

Still no apology.

I am officially issuing a vote of no confidence in manny and his team.

Elections will be held tomorrow for the new mods. Watch this space.

Well I did say this -

I'm sorry if I've upset anyone...

..but if it isn't good enough I will like Gordon Brown stand aside for the good of the site.

Can wait to see the list of nominees (will there be a coalition if there is no outright win?).

The apology had to come from manny seeing as he was the one crying about lack of blogs.

If anyone wants to put themselves forward to replace sluffy and the invisible mod then please do so here. Sluffy and invisible mod will also be in the running so if you think they're doing a good job you can still vote them back in.

Manifestos tomorrow.

I can't see your new blog.

My apologies, it has to go through the 'approval' stage before it goes live.

I'm a bit confused about this - I thought we had said that wasn't necessary, only those going on to our front page needed agreeing?

Sorry if I've misunderstood.

I think Manny just checks they're not full of effs and jeffs and bad taste, then they go on the site. Not totally sure though

They stay in the 'Submit Your Blog' board until I come along and read it, then I put onto the boards. Only myself, the mods and people in the 'Blogger' group have access to the first board.

Manny for crying out loud yes my personal life may, or may not, be all over this site - but that is me and I know what is factually correct about my life and what isn't on here!

I also know you have banned Breezebvlock again especially with what he sent to me in the PM's and I completely ignored it, but could have easily reported it.  I have also defended you, which is a complete surprise for me, with regards to the blogs as I could guess it was taking you away from your studies and wasting your time with certain postsers.

But one thing I cannot understand is the introduction of Whittam as a Moderator.  Chris Rabz would have been the perfect choice - and a person that most people agree with, on here (see my thread on General banter)

I appreciate that modding and owining the site does take up time, and something to which I fully understand as well.  Which is why why I do cross the line I am apologetic.  And I try to be neutral when it comes to you guys but with the Whittam I will never apologise, nor appreciate nor agree with at anytime.

I think I agree with both sides on this one (regarding the blogs, I'm saying nothing about the moderators as that is not my call). I think Manny was just a bit concerned that he was going to an awful lot of effort to improve the site, and in my opinion it will turn out to be the best improvement since I signed up here. But I just think he didn't want us all signing up to do the blogs, him putting the time in to make it all, and then people forgetting all about it making his efforts a waste of time.

But equally Natasha and Wendy are both right in that the blogs is for when you have something of interest to say that people want to read, rather than just have a random ramble about something that has nothing to do whatsoever with BWFC. Like Wendy I'll only do it when I'm in the right mood but I know that I've got a lot of moaning to do so I'll definitely make good use of it!

Chris Rabz would have been the perfect choice - and a person that most people agree with, on here (see my thread on General banter)

Cheers for that Chris, always nice to get a compliment! I will make no further comment at this time Tongue
