Well we were kind of hoping that the blogs would give us something to read and discuss over the next few weeks before the World Cup kicks in.

To be fair we never said that because we assumed that there was so much interest in doing them that people would just get on with them.

It is after all you who will be doing them in your own time and for free but if anyone could post something, we would be grateful.

Those blogs already contributed have been fantastic, and none of the writers had really done anything like that before - so just goes to show what stars we have on our forum.

I've never done a blog before in an official way but as most will know on here I'm never far away from a good rant and the blog idea saves me from littering all your posts with it Cheesy

I'll just kind of echo what Sluffy said. With the demand for them and having spent the best part of a week trying to build a system, with just 3 blogs since I'm a little disappointed with the results so far.

I'm not disappointed with the blogs that have been posted, they're good reads, I'm disappointed with the number of people who owned up and appear to have backed out.

There was never any mention that they had to be done by a certain time. I was going to start mine in a week or two and do it weekly.

A bit fcuking rich of you to put pressure on posters when it's totally voluntary.

But you threw yours back at Manny, especially as you were one of the main people calling for them!  so you definitely have no room to talk, Whittam!

My blog will still be seen, but it will be on the Mark Davies board. 50p and a bag of grapes gets you quite a lot these days.

        Dear Manny

Being a fellow, or at least a last year student you're probably aware that it's currently the exam period. Give me over two weeks and your website shall have a post on it containing my first blog entry.

      Yours Sincerely

Is that why you requested to be taken off the list?

I'm not trying to put pressure on anyone, but if it doesn't have it's "honeymoon period" where people are posting, it never will. Instead of wasting time building something people won't use, I could have worked on something more important. I'm in the same boat as 267 and probably a few others and have exams to do, so this place isn't my priority at the moment.

As for it being voluntary, if people aren't really that bothered then why volunteer in the first place? Myself and the mods who help run this site do this voluntary, so if I want to say something then I'll say it.

Like Natasha, I was under the impression that blogs would be posted as people came up with a creative idea.

If it's more about quantity than quality and there is a deadline, then I'm afraid I'll have to back out of being a blogger too.  I, too, have a busy life and can only read and post here for a short while in the evenings.  I'd rather not blog than blog some useless info that isn't of interest to most (excluding Sharps) on here.

I don't see the point in forcing posts (blogs).  If you want more people posting more often, the posts that are made need to be of interest to a majority and they need to stimulate conversation (replies).

I don't see a lot of interest from the readers in the blogs that have been made thus far.  Didle's started with a couple of decent replies from Sluffy and myself and then deteriorated into a whole different topic by other posters and it had nothing to do with Didle's post.

The replies should be kept on topic or it becomes a waste of time, in my opinion.

Anyway, again, thanks for the opportunity and I am sorry to have to drop out but I definitely don't need the pressure to perform and my standards tend to be higher than just posting some BS for the sake of it.

Manny surely Sluffy or Danny could cover the site for you while you take a break to do revision & stuff?

I'll state the same thing again. Nowhere did you say blogs had to be up and running within a week.

You owe the board an apology. If we don't get one by 3pm I will issue a vote of no confidence in you. This time tomorrow I could be running the show.

p.s. and please will you stop laying it on thick about the role of a mod. There are about 10 posters on here, none of which require modding very often.

Im backing the Whittham she can take this forum forward and I have every faith in her and Natasha I dont think you have too many fans on the Mavies Forum so I wouldnt defect if I was you.

We need a Porn Review Blog to get more men signed up and talking about the Wanderers also, I would do it but I find Porn offensive to women.
