Seems to have been here forever but has his time finally come?

Left sided player who was a revelation during his time as left back.  Coyle's used him in the centre and Ricky as always let no one down.

Been plagued by injury and seen less and less in the team in recent seasons.

Has he got one more season in him, or is it time to say goodbye?

100% stay.

One of the only players we have who has any kind of pace and can play in a number of positions.

Stay - he has pace and can operate in a number of positions as has been mentioned. I think he's a good impact sub as his pace can trouble defenders.

Arguably our player of the season last year but he's struggled with injuries and his form this season. I'd keep him for another year and see how he does.

If he struggles again, he'll be out of contract so it'd be time to say goodbye.

Worth keeping if only for the reason that he deserves his testimonial. He is pretty decent back up too. You'd have to shelve out 2/3M to buy good back-up, why do it when it's already here.

Stay, I would be really sad to see him go. I think he will stay, or else we would have heard testimonial rumours by now I think.

He's the only player in the team with bags of pace, yes his crossing is dodgy but we desperately miss his pace IMO. I hope he plays more next season because while he's a bit frustrating at times, he's always been a player I've liked.

He has to stay. I am the only one who thinks that in the past couple of seasons Gardner has been playing the best football of his career? Has he been injured in recent months? He just never seems to get played for some reason.
I would have thought that in a 4-4-2 Gardner would be perfect on the left wing. Even if we were to play a 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation I think he is perfect for the attacking left side role.
It will be a sad day when Gardner leaves the club. It is very unusual in this day and age that a foreign player comes to a club as a teenager and spends his whole career with that same club.
I hope he will be part of the team for a long time still to come.

He has been here for ages, and fully deserves to stay. He adds an extra element to the team, I dont know why he hardly plays anymore.

He's the reason I support Bolton. I'm hooked now, so I'll  be a supporter when he leaves - but it's not time yet.

Don't rule out a Jermaine Johnson return! Cool

Go. He's been a great servant but take away his pace and he's bobbins. Can't cross, can't shoot straight and can only pass to the opposition. Plus he's injury prone.

Thanks Gardner, but you should have been so much better.

Go. He's been a great servant

I was about to post those exact words.

Can't help feeling the squad have been carrying him this season.

I'd say stay for now but yes, his time is coming to an end it seems. But the worrying thing is that Bolton fans seemingly don't rate Taylor, and if Gardner goes I'm not sure who we'll have to replace Taylor with if it goes wrong again. Right now the left-midfield spot is one of the few places on the field we have at least a capable first-teamer and decent backup. For that reason, stay.
