Ok, his loan period is up but should we buy him?

He's never lasted a full 90 minutes - but he has looked like the only player to score from open play for much of the season!

Got some crucial goals for us - but then again he's only scored once since December!

Can't see him being too expensive to buy - but can we get better?

Stay or go?

100% fooking stay, him and Taylor are the only ones that can finish regularly. We cant let someone of his goalscoring standard slip away when he is available for 2-3m -you would get no-one better with that money. Even if he don't last more than 75Min's, if he starts every game you will be guaranteed 15+ goals a season.

Is there a better alternative for the 2-3 mill asking price? I can't think of any although a finisher with pace would be nice.

Or we could just get a pacey striker with Klasnic Smiley

Anyone who went to the game yesterday will have seen why Bolton cannot buy Klasnic.

Too slow and not fit enough to last 90 minutes. If he was banging them in then that could be overlooked, but he's scored 7 goals all season.

If Coyle signs Klasnic at the expense of buying pace I will kill him.

It doesn't appear Coyle will be looking to kepp him if this is true:

Quote
King was needed in the early stages to cut out Ivan Klasnic’s cross, although the striker’s effort was not pleasing Coyle, who was up on his feet swearing at his player and calling him “lazy” when he did not track back.

I would let him go. I like Klasnic, you can tell he has a lot of ability and is a very good finisher. But he struggles with fitness and he doesn't seem particularly bothered. I think also unfortunately Kevin Davies will be the first name on the team sheet next season and Klasnic and Davies IMO is a poor strike force. I would rather we put the money towards trying to sign Nicky Maynard of Bristol City.

I want to see him stay but, as Natasha says, not at the expense of a pacey striker. That said, he does know where the goal is and I doubt we'll find a better goal poacher for the money quoted. Hopefully, we'll have enough ££££ to buy him and A Nother!

I don't know what it is but surely we have the staff to get him fit for 90 minutes. Obviously there's nothing we can do about his speed but he's a natural finisher, the guy knows where the net is. You can't buy that for under £20m these days. Yes he lacks the attributes of a £20m striker but I think we can easily afford £2.5m or whatever his price is to have him as a back-up or plan B?

There's no such thing, it's a myth. He's missed loads of chances and while he's better than Elmander by a country mile he's still only scored 7 goals all season.

Davies is, regardless of whether you agree, going to be the first name on the teamsheet next season so we have to spend any money on a fast striker. We can't spend £2.5m on someone who can't last 90 minutes.

Them 7 goals have helped keep us up,just imagine how much we would have lost without 'em? for 2.5 million or whatever I'd definitely pay up for Klasnic.

What he lacks in certain areas he makes up in others, for a small price I don't think we will get better.

Yes I know Davies is going to be the first name on the sheet and it brings tears to my eyes, and I totally agree we need a pacey striker up front with him. However, I also think we need Klasnic as well, as he's a finisher and offers a different option. That means shipping out the rest of the crap we currently have. Davies, Klasnic and a new striker and I would have one more if we have the funds available.

I thought the amount was 1.7 million agreed when we loaned him.  He's worth keeping because he will score.  I doubt that Coyle will keep him though.

And to quote Natasha, "I'll kill him" (Coyle) if he keeps Davies as a first choice striker next season.  It's past time to wean him from the team.  He should only be on the bench and starting games against the soft lads (Arsenal, etc.).

We need new/capable goalscorers and a midfielder that will produce like Nolan did when he was good for us.

Who is suppose to keep the players fit and make sure they can play a whole game? Coyle. Get a new manager if he cant keep the players fit. There is lots of potential in Klasnic

Klasnic looks like a predator but I don't think he's fit enough for a Prem campaign.
He's 30, he's had major health problems and a few niggling injuries. I don't think he can be got that fit.
If OC signs him, then he needs at least one other striker (probably two).

Stay.

He's a goalscorer, and if he did have pace and a beter engine, he wouldn't come to us anyway.

Stay.

Megsons lack of desire to keep this fans favourite was one of his downfalls.

Owen, if you read this, i'm the fan you shook hands with at Stoke, who you remembered from the Q&A! Please keep Ivan Klasnic for at least another year and let him show you what he can do! /begging Cool
