May as well sell Cahill now for 15M, while he has a long contract.

A year from now he won't be worth as much as his contract length will be shorter; or worse, he could have a poor season and/or get injured.

Natasha said we can get 2 good players; I'd extend that and say we could get 3 or 4 with that money.

Youve got to remember that we have debts to pay and 3 or 4 players would have wages to pay.  I would be surprised if Cahills wages amount to that of 3 or 4 good players, I think Natashas 2 players is more accurate although again we still have debts to pay so its not a given we would even sign 2.

However, Sharps, we'll be offloading other players too, to throw additional money into the pot for buying and wages; and we will lose those players' wages too.

Plus, surely a 8-10M player's wages would be a lot more than the ages of a 4-5M player.

But, having thought about it for about 5 seconds, you do make sense in regard to the fact that if we offload a bunch of the deadwood, we will still need to bring in some "better" deadwood of squad players/depth.

Please, please, please ........ no more deadwood !
We've seen more than enough of that in the past 2-3 years.

Problem is Outpost other than deadwood, what good players are going to want to come and just sit on our bench/be a squad member.

I think Coyle will bring in young players, if they are playing in a lower league, or way out of favour at their club, they would be more than happy to be on the bench, and trying to impress when given a chance, it also makes sure we dont need to rebuild the squad after 5-6 years
