A good effort from the lads Tuesday night. There's always negatives to be found when you lose a game (as Faroe has proved) but I don't really think we can expect any more against a side of that quality; and one that has beaten us 4-0 twice already this season. I think we can be really proud of the fact that they were holding it up in the dying minutes, whistles heard around the ground, and had we got either of the big decisions our way we could have had a deserved point.

We might not play as well at Stoke, I don't know. But it gives me hope and while Stoke are a tough proposition every team has their off days at home against teams they aren't neccessarily "up for" beating as much as others. We could be that team just as we were at West Ham, and Birmingham (months) before it.

Special mention for the fans that did make the trip, particularly the few who actually came from up north. It was a low turnout but you just knew the ones that were there were "proper" fans (not saying that by not going you aren't one!)

On to the rule at the Britannia.

How dare you brandish me not a proper fan, im fcuking outraged!

For what it's worth out of the 150-200 in our end only a small handful (as little as 30) seemed to be travelling support.

Loads were wearing stuff that made them look like they had just come straight from work

I won't be at Stoke because of reasons I don't want to say because I'll get slated on here

If I had the time and money Chris, I would have been there. I there's a big difference between people that can't go and people that can't be arsed to go.

I won't be at Stoke because of reasons I don't want to say because I'll get slated on here, and I may have to miss Spurs away but I'll be there for the other two... and more than likely a season ticket next year.

COYWM!

Yeah like I said I'm hardly one to talk. I've been to them all this season but I've hardly been to any outside the north the previous few years. It just depends on how much money you have, what financial contraints you have etc. I've been really lucky this year that I've had student loans and nothing else really to pay for.

At £48 for a ticket, I'm not surprised.

Ok I'll admit... I'm off to the rugby, I got a free ticket and travel, although camping sounds like a better idea...

I really wish I was going to the football now actually, but I can't bail.

Anyway, predictions in the Stoke thread for me now...
