I voted for Lee a couple of times then stopped when I realised he'd not done much since January. Muamba was a laughing stock for the first 30 games but finished the season well.

Muamba has been our most consistant player. Can't remember him having many bad games this season.

Cool

OK then, Jimbo - you count the number of times I have mentioned where I live since January!

and then you count the number of times that Mr Sharples has referenced where I live

You will be surprised as to who has said it the most, and its not me.

(yes I have been sad enough to go through all the various threads and it is actually Mr Sharples that has said the place more than me!!!  -   Sad really, isn't it!!!)

Well done Lee Cool

Well done Lee.

Muamba plays central midfield and has scored one goal all season.I need more attacking output from a central midfield player than that to vote him player of the season.

I voted for Matt Taylor twice a day since the voting opened. Gutted he didn't win.

Lee won the official player of the year, players player and best newcomer.

And yes he has done stuff since January, some of you forgetting his assists.

The full list of winners.

http://www.bwfc.co.uk/page/General/0,,1004~2048475,00.html

He has done fcúk all since february and is second to Muamba.

We played Wigan and West Ham in MARCH, he got an assist in both games and played very well. Ok he's lost his place to Weiss because Weiss changed the game against Stoke, but he's not had a break for ages and what he did between August and March is much more than Muamba has.

Yes Muamba breaks up play and gets contributes a lot, he's been fantastic, but Lee has provided more for the team, goals , assists, entertainment, passing etc. The facts don't lie and Lee has been voted player of the year, and rightly so.

His fantastic assist against Wolves too.

To be fair he hasnt so much lost his place to Weiss that he is being given a rest. Weiss would be nowhere near the team if Lee was 100% fit.

I wasnt having a go at him. Just think its a shame Muamba has been ignored from most player of season awards. Lee
deserves recognition for a great season though.

One goal and credited with no goal assists. I know some think his job is to protect the back 4 and not contribute with forward play. We all know how many goals that defence has conceded so he hasn't done much of a job helping them.

I stand by my earlier post when I said he'd done naff all for the first 30 games except pass the ball away, injure a couple of fans in row z and give away numerous free kicks in dangerous areas.  More often than not he was subbed off in those games and I cant remember a single report in the BN or any newspaper/radio that said he'd been our MOM. He has greatly improved the last few games but nothing like good enough to be considered anybody's player of the season.

The readers of the BN or the journalists? Now that is ironic Smiley

I do really hope the lad does well, we spent a lot on him. I saw enough in the last 8 games to think he will, but for much of the season he was pants wasn't he?

Only about opinions after all.

Muamba got just 1% of the vote on this site last year but came second with 23.73% this time. He didn't win but it shows people have recognised the improvement he's made.

Who the hell voted for Tamir Cohen? Not a bad choice with Chungy, while he's been wound down over the last month or two over the season he was an inspiration for us in a lot of games. He just got the ball, and ran at people. Didn't matter if it was Portsmouth or Man Utd he'd give it a go and more often than not beat his man. I do rate Muamba this season also, a very worthy second place with a solid season from start to finish. Finally got a goal, and while some will say he didn't score many, so what. That's not what his primary job is, it's to break up fast counter-attacks, which he does really well.

Good season for both of them considering how poor we all say it's been generally.
