It's been another poor season at Bolton but the time has come to vote for your 'Player of the Season'. Let's face it, somebody has to win it!  Shocked

Quote
The season is fast approaching it's end and it is that time of year to vote for your Player of the Season.

Club captain Kevin Davies has won the award for the last two years, with Jussi Jaaskelainen and Kevin Nolan achieving the honour in 2007 and 2006 respectively.

As with previous years, the same rules for eligibility apply. Only players who began the season with the club and have made more than 20 starts in all competitions are included in the vote.

The poll will appear at the top of the website until 10pm on Sunday 9th May 2010, with the winner announced on Monday 10th May 2010. Each computer is restricted to just one vote per day, with the poll reopening each night at midnight.

Below are the eleven players who are eligible for voting this season:
Fabrice Muamba, Gary Cahill, Gretar Steinsson, Jussi Jaaskelainen, Kevin Davies, Lee Chung-Yong, Matt Taylor, Paul Robinson, Sam Ricketts, Tamir Cohen, Zat Knight.

Previous winners:
2009 - Kevin Davies
2008 - Kevin Davies
2007 - Jussi Jaaskelainen
2006 - Kevin Nolan

I was split between Muamba and LCY.

Muamba (under Megson) wasn't doing too well but LCY hit the ground running.

Under Coyle Muamba is much improved and LCY is looking tired after playing for a year without a break.

Anyway, ultimately I went with LCY.

If you're undecided between the two, vote for one and then when midnight hits, vote for the other when you can answer the poll again.

Mee too. Why the heck are Cohen and Taylor even nominated?

I guess since they've started more than 20 games, they have to be nominated, even if no one will vote for them!

Im going for Muamba. Was between him and Lee but i think Muamba has consistently good this season whereas that hasnt always been the case with Lee.

That isn't really a fair vote though, is it.  Voting should be a one time thing.  Plus, I do think (for me) that Lee edged it over Muamba.

I don't mind people voting more than once, but the 1 vote per day system was brought in to stop some sad people voting 100 times in 5 minutes for a Nicky Hunt type player.

It's between Lee or Muamba.

Lee gets my vote for his contributions and excitement.

Its got to be Lee, how he has come over from another country and slotted well into the prem is quite remarkable considering he couldnt speak a word of english.

Never understand why people say oh its good how foreign players adapt to the english game....like there playing with a fecking rugby ball or something in spain...its the same game.

Unless someone else steps up to the plate between now and the end of the season (e.g. winning goal at Chelsea) I would go with Lee. He fell over a bit in his first couple of games but then proved he's got the skill and determination to make it. Big up to Muamba as well though.

If anyone votes for any of our defenders they need help.

I've gone for Jussi purely because he hit the bar on the 'Crossbar Challenge'.

I voted Lee but it's definitely between him and Muamba, and so it should be for the official player of the year awards too. Both rightly deserve to win something as they've been our only decent performers this season.

Lee will win player of the year because Bolton fans will be a bit blinkered by a bit of trickery that hasnt been seen for a few years, I think Muamba deserves it mainly because he has improved so much from last season and secondly because him and lee have probably been our best players.

It will probably be a great confidence boost to fabrice who was slagged off a bit by morons last season and will be evidence that we have faith in him and that he has something to show for his efforts.

The poll is on every page. Once voted, your IP address is blocked from voting until midnight when you can vote again.

I was torn also between Muamba and LCY, and I did vote for one of them but it was about half an hour ago and I can't remember which one I went for!
