WWW
« on: 30 March 2010, 05:17 AM »

A spokesman from his agents seems to think so.

Give him double points on his  clubcard. He'll love it!

And have rubbished a transfer move to Liverpool

Admittedly it's Tribalfootball though

He's probably on £3,000 a week. We'll be adding another 0 to it and increasing his value because if he has another good season next time round, he'll be off.

Theres a real chance he could burn himself out for next season, he hasnt stopped playing football in over a year (bolton and FC Seol) and he is also involved with the world cup aswell so maybe the rest Coyle was talking about maybe needed if were safe, lets say after the pompey game or even a win on saturday vs villa.

Until we are safe we cant be affording anybody having a run out, we need our best players playing and he has a world cup to play in which is probably more a worry for next season.  Hopefully south korea wont get very far so he gets a longer rest.

I think Manny is correct about the wage element.

If you look at the interviews though, he doesn't appear to be interested in the adulation that other players seem to crave.

I'd like to think that if we look after him now we might have a long term Bolton squad member there (providing we retain our premiership status). It looks like the club are thinking along the same lines.

Whilst I'll never find myself in anything resembling that position, I'd, personally, prefer to be a big fish in a small pond rather than wallow on a bench somewhere.

People from that part of the world are usually pretty timid and loyal so providing we show him we love him and give him alot of respect then we have probably got hold of him for a good few years yet.

Sharps, I'd agree with you on the loyalty bit but I disagree on the timid part.  Don't mistake showing respect (to the club/fans) to being "timid".

I think he probably deserves an extended contract and more money.  It protects him and it protects the club in the event that we sell him in the future.

I didn't like the part of the Sky article where it mentioned signing Lee to get into the Asian market.  Nothing about his ability mentioned.
