Bolton manager Owen Coyle accused Nemanja Vidic of a "terrible challenge" on Johan Elmander during Manchester United's 4-0 win on Saturday.

Elmander needed five stitches in a head wound after contesting a header with the Serbian defender.

Vidic went unpunished but could face retrospective action - ahead of the key game against Chelsea - if the referee did not see the incident.

"Anyone who has seen it knows it was a terrible challenge," said Coyle.

"I am not looking for excuses but Vidic has caught him with an elbow and there was blood pouring out of it. I can only assume the referee has not seen it."

Nothing will happen. Never does when we're on the recieving end. Deserves a 3 match ban imo.

The referee will probably claim that he saw it so it will go unpunished.

I hate Fergie the sooner he dies the better, I would love to smother him to death with a St Georges Cross Pillow.

Loved the Match of the Day commentator claiming that Elmander was making the 'most' of it, despite the fact that you could clearly see blood in his scalp.

 Fergie had this to say:
Quote
"What is the old saying about people in glass houses?" he responded.

"When Nemanja Vidic came off at half-time he had a lump on his head the size of an egg, his cheek was swollen and he had a black eye."

Anyone got a picture of Vidic leaving the pitch at half time, so we can see the lump the size of an egg and the bruising?

You'd probably need a pic of Fergie's whiskey-induced imagination.

I imagine that that is a bit of an exaggeration from Fergie. Sharps you were saying something about a St Georges Cross Pillow?  Wink

He got away with it.

Now, if knight had elbowed Giggs, we all know the FA would have thrown the book at him.

Fergie is a c**t, and always will be

Yes very true, fergie said in The Sun yesterday ''id be suprised if he got punished for it, very suprised''..........or in other words ''if he gets a suspension for this ill get the ref and his assistant sacked''

The referees will never protect us so we need to take matters into our own hands.

We don't really need 7 subs, so I'd say one spot on the bench should be reserved for a complete nutter like Tøfting.  Once it was clear we'd get nothing from Man U, this player could be sent on to break Vidic's leg.

Vidic knows he'll get away with this shíte because referees will never punish him . . . unless it's against another "Big Club."  This is why he's sent off so often against Liverpool.  If he knew there's a chance that his thuggish behavior would result in a career ending injury, he's keep himself in check!
