Haha i hope I get to laugh at Hull with Megson incharge.

The press will say its a good appointment, anyone who knows football will know this is a good appointment..... the football at the KC will not be so good.

I think he would be a good appointment for Hull. Pearson knows he has to get a manager in who won't demand high wages and someone who has previous experience of relegation battles, so for me it is the ideal appointment; especially as it is only short term. So good luck to him if he gets the job.

It could have been the right SHORT-TERM appointment for us at that time. But he should have been replaced the next summer.

Yes I agree. I think Bolton fans would have appreciated him more if his last act was to save us from relegation.

As much as i hated watching us under him after he kept us up that 1st season i still dont have anything against him as Sammy Lee fucked up the club and he managed to keep us up....just.

Megson could be ideal for Hull. He's already got them 4 points this season.

Brilliant Wakey, without Megson Hull would be already down and we would be in Europe LOL!!!!! Anyone who employs this joker must need their head read surely. If Meggo turns up at the KC at least that means there is only one relegation place ............................... for Wigan to fill!!

I hear that Hull have appointed Ian Dowie.I don't think even the thick skinned Megson would have wanted more abuse from disgruntled fans so shortly after getting sacked at Bolton even if he had been offered the Hull role.

It is a weird decision if it is for football reasons.Like Bolton sacking Allardyce in our second season in the Prem when we were in that relegation battle with West Ham.Unthinkable.

Well Pearson said he wanted to bring the salaries down, so maybe he axed brown to replace him with someone who is desperate to get back in to management and probably hire someone who wont be on as much money as Brown was.

Well, if Pearon gets Hull relegated with this decision, he'll have to do an awful lot more salary slashing.

Good shout that actually, but surely the money they lose by getting relegated would be more than what they were losing with browns wages.

If you think Brown is on big money then your mistaken , they sacked him because he is shíte.

I would be surprised if he was on more than Megson was on.

Yes it is a risk. I just wonder though if Browny didn't have such a good start with Hull last season (even though they dropped emphatically in the second half) them maybe he wouldn't of had so much pressure and therefore might still be in the job.
It wouldn't surprise me if Birmingham have a slow start next season and as a result McLeish gets the chop due to overachieving this season.

Sharps thats about three times now you've tried to get us to bite on your anti Brown venom. Just leave it mate, the guy was well thought of here and at Hull by the majority of fans.

If you think I hate Phil Brown then I am obviously coming across wrong , I appreciate that he is an ex player and assistant manager but that shouldn't make him immune to criticism.  He has handled himself fairly poorly since they have been in the premier league and his arrogance has shone through because nobody seems to be pitying him wether it be fans or pundits.

He was lucky to have lasted aslong as he has and was given far more patience than you would expect considering the trigger happy times under football chairman.

The return of Gary Megson has been thankfully avoided - Iain Dowie has been appointed as Hull City Manager.
