This isn,t about meeting a celebrity but I have had a drink in the Royal Box at the London Palladium and also had a piss in the Queens own personal bog. How impressive is that?

Kerry Katona - Looked alot better than she does on the telly
She's not a celebrity, she's a drain on civilised society. I hope you hit her really hard.

Go on, I'll bite. How did it come about that you got to meet a world famous rapper for coffee? I used to be really into underground hip-hop and I knew quite a few British rappers. I was quite friendly with a rapper called Blade who was lucky enough to be a support act on the Eminem tour of 2001. He got me tickets for the gig and I met up with him for coffee on the day of the gig at the London Docklands Arena. I'd just sat down when he says 'I hope you don't mind but Eminem will be joining us'. And 5 minutes later in walks Eminem, Xzibit (Pimp My Ride), Bizarre & Proof (D12). He was a total gent, spent ages talking to me about his kid, telling stories about other rappers, slaging off Britney Spears and NSync and basically being a great host. He paid for everything and asked me to go backstage after the gig. Which I did, and although he was surrounded by people after the gig he still took 5 minutes to chat to me. Most celebs are wankers, it was nice to meet one who wasn't.

My ex girlfriend's mum rented a house in Worsley after she splt up from her husband. The previous tennant was Eric Cantona. I'm not sure if he counted as a celeb, but It was odd having a shite where that knobend used to live.

I've also met four of the five members of Girls Aloud, Nadine wasn't there.
Bit dim, too much make-up but seemed genuinely warm and pleasant.

I used to know someone who's mate once went out with Tony Gubba's niece.
And the Queen and Prince Phillip often pop into our local for a game of darts.

Gary Oldman, William Hurt, Mimi Rodgers, Matt LeBlanc (Joey on Friends), Heather Graham = casts of Lost in Space - at San Diego Comic Con. Also met Adam West (original 1960s Batman) at the Comic Con.
Michael Crawford = after a performance of Phantom of the Opera at The Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.
Bill Cosby - in Las Vegas and again in Hollywood.
Martin Short and Harrison Ford - at their talent agency (along with Bill Cosby). My ex worked at the agency, hence how I met them.
Harrison Ford is a prick (Hollywood-size).
I've met others (and I'll not include footballers here as they aren't 'really' celebrities. Met a fair few celebrities on the military base when my ex was in the Marine Corps as they did concerts (music and comedy) and met with the troops and their families pre/post show.
Worst of the military show celebs was Steve Martin...real knob.

We've had a few at the Last Drop over the years with varying levels of "celebrity". Lulu's been up there but then there's also been Mandy Dingle and my god I think the camera actually removed pounds from her somehow - that girl is a big unit. Big Sam was up there once or twice a year when with us, and has been once since joining Blackburn. That gay Sean off Corrie was there last year, and there was one do when quite a few football faces were there including Big Sam, Reidy, Browny, Brian Robson and Steve Bruce.
And of course the most well-known celebrity in the north-west (besides Natasha), Lofty the Lion. I tell no lie.

Bruce Rioch used to stay at the Georgian House when I worked there. Brought him room service quite a few times. He was quite a fan of hot chocolate with whipped cream on I seem to recall. <add gay witicism>

Doesn't big Sam live on Shady Lane, still, in Bromley Cross?

I think so. I can't see why he'd move since Blackburn's only up the road. To be honest it is actually arguably nearer to drive to Ewood Park than it is to the Reebok even if it is technically further away as the crow flies. Okocha used to live around that street aswell but I'd guess he's moved on since he hasn't been with us for about four years

Talking of politicians - this is going back a few years and apologies for the spelling but I have met up close, and shook the hand of the ex Polish Premier Lech Walesa - he was on a trip to Turkey and was at Ephesus when I met him!
