We won 2-1 vs bury last night and Harsanyi scored them both, why has he never been tried out in the 1st team...a question asked quite alot but never seems to be answered.

I suspect because he's crap.

Just because you score a goal in the Reserves league doesn't mean you'll bang them in for the 1st team.

I had a look on the club site at Monday dinner time to see who the reserves were playing this week. There was nothing on the site. How poor.

Agrred. The info only appears during the day of the match.
And why kick off at 7pm ?   Does everyone have to be in bed by 9.30pm ?

The real question is  ...... why do we still have him around, and any players like him ?

If Harsanyi can score a couple against Bury's reserves he must be top notch.  Huh

I think some of the so called first teamers like Taylor and Elmander should be made to play in the reserves. If it was good enough for Nicky Hunt.

I'm all for that.
I just don't see the point of keeping & paying players who are thought not good enough to even make the bench - except in a dire emergency.

Megson didnt use them anyway. He decided to go with just 4 subs. I cant see the point with us having a reserve side.

The big game at Stockport has been arranged for Monday 19th April.
I thought they might have played it at Stockport's training ground in Timperley but it will be played at Edgeley Park 7pm kick off. £3 to get in.

Aint there pitch bad enough without having another match on it.l

Sale Sharks play at Edgeley so I hope the pitch is alright.

How has Jack Sampson been looking? I had heard good things about him, but I've actually seen nothing personally.

Thanks for the heads-up - there were stories that Man U among others were interested in him, just wondered how he was doing.

Manc Senior Cup Final tonight, but why on earth 6.30 ko ?? Have we run out of 10ps for the meter to switch the floodlights on?

Don,t suppose we would have got a massive crowd but this can only put people off going, a lot of people don,t get home from work in time to get to the Reebok for half six.

I read this in the paper today. It's our reserve team manager making a few comments about the ones tipped for a bright future in the game.

make your mind up!! i quote what you said about Jermain Beckford
'A chance is a chance whether it's in the Premiership or League 2. The boy clearly knows where the goal is, proven by the fact he's scored at Old Trafford & White Hart Lane this season - something none of our Premiership strikers could do'

Yeah, scoring goals in front of 40000 Leeds fans is exactly like scoring in front of 12 people and their dogs.
