Hi,
Just a bit of an introduction from me. Been a Wanderer for as long as I can remember. My opening memories as a Bolton fan are the epic finals of 1995 as 7 year old. Managed to go the Liverpool game with a friend and his family and cried my little heart out, kicking everything I could on the way out of Wembley, but had to settle (turned out pretty happily!) for watching the Reading game about 2 inches away from the tele in my grandparents front room!
I got my first season ticket in 02/03 Block I with a few mates and that rise up the premiership felt absolutely incredible and that is the era I look back at with greatest affection. Favourite game ever for me has to be the 4-3 away at Ewood. Just the whole day was amazing. I hadn't been to many decent away games before that (the one that most stands out was a shocking performance in a 2-0 defeat against city at Maine road sat in that bit in the corner with no roof and it pissed it down all match!), and the comeback was an unbeatable feeling.
I had a season ticket until I went to Uni and ashamedly I had kind of lost my way a little under Megson and found myself making very little effort to get to games. Been to only a handful a season under his tenure including the shocker at Goodison when he inexplicably persisted in starting that Portuguese donkey upfront. I was embarrassed that he was our manager with his attitude towards us and the lack of unity in so many areas. It just didn't feel the same anymore. This, coupled with the travel and lack of cash at uni meant I didn't attend very many games anymore.
Anyway, I know the start has been slow under Coyle but I'm very optimistic for the future and fully behind him. I think he's a natural winner and will get the best out of the lads. There have already been some encouraging signs in regards to some players, Knight in particular.
I think that's enough from me for now!

A great introduction Italian, thanks for doing it. Hello and welcome. 1995 was probably the best year to get hooked on Bolton football! Hope you like our site and spend loads of time on here instead of working on your dissertation or studying for your exams! Anyway I'm glad you've found your way back to BWFC and enjoy our future under Mr Coyle.

I know how you feel aout the 2 wembley trips that year as I also went to the wrong one although I didnt cry because im well hard me. Losing interest under megson is no excuse and people should go finances permission regardless of whos in charge and how we are playing. Whats the Italian part about?

But with the finances I could hardly make any games and it just felt a bit different. Maybe I'm selling myself short a little. I was always a massive fan, watching any games I could on streams and constantly checking our sky sports page. Still talked about Bolton all the time at uni...flying the flag! Just a bit strange when you want us to lose so that we can get a new manager! Yeh, the Italian part is because my dad is Italian!
