At the end of the day Fulham where and are a very diciplined team with a very clever manager who came for a point and suceeded, they dont give many goals away and when the team they are up against do not have a recognised goal scorer then it was a predictable 0-0. Not nice to watch, SKD I though had a better game than of late winning plenty bally against some very big experienced defenders, Taylor again was poor, Chung Lee was marked out of the game, Jussi again very slow a distributing the ball, Knight Robinson (who I feel should be captain) and Muamba where excellent and I thought Basham had an impact after that the rest where mediocre, I have not looked at the disalowed goal again, whats the point? it's not going to change anything, Coyle made a big mistake not bringing in a recognised striker and I do feel we are in for a torrid time at the foot of the table.

I doubt it will bring many punters in either. It was a fan day, with special offers on all over the place.

A 0-0 draw, and the buses away from the game were unusually bad  Angry

It was a particularly boring game to be honest.
How Elmander deserves to be in the squad, nevermind the team i do not know!?!?

I thought Elmander did quite well when he came on. Ok, he was far from "awesome" as one poster alleges but the team looked far better with 2 up top. Whether that was down to Elmander or not is debatable. Just a shame he didn't finish that chance as it could have gone a long way to repaying his transfer fee.

Regarding his chance though, why do I have a feeling that, if the roles had been reversed, Sir Nat would have been on here raving about Elmander's link up play; the way he dropped deep, picked up a long ball, turned the defender with relative ease and then played in Davies with a sublime through ball which only he could only for the terrible Davies to miss from 8 yards.

Elmo's top 3 highlights
1. couldn't hit the target from 8 yards
2. errrrrr ... struggling
2. ah, fcuk it I give up

That's not right.  He made decent runs.  Played a couple of good balls inside that Davies failed to read.  He chased the ball and he had the Fulham defence back-tracking and worried at times.  He then made a great run and should have scored, but then if you leave strikers on the bench they get rusty.  I think he's done enough to deserve a start.

The point, Az - which I think you missed - was purely in response to the "Elmo's great, SKD's crap" posts from our resident WUM. For all his fault's, KD had a tangible positive impact on the game.
Feel free to amend Elmo's top 3 highlights if you wish, but I think you'd be struggling.

That's the best excuse yet for Elmander being shite.

Accept it folks, he's fooking crap!!

He wants putting in the reserves to earn some of  his wages if nothing else.
Bolton  reserves play at Man City on Wednesday, if Elmo is firing blanks again on Tuesday make him have another trip to Manchester the night after.Megson reckoned modern players don't like playing for the reserves and it serves no purpose but i don't agree with that.I say get him in the reserve side. It's a step up from the training ground or subs bench and it might just get him some form and confidence as long as the stump doesn't keep missing at that level.

Davies has had a pop at Clattenburg in the press.

Not sure if he'll get away with it

Come on FA ban him, just so Coyle HAS to try something else!

Elmander should be flogged in public on the Town Hall steps for crimes comitted against this club.

A beautifully weighted through ball from SKD, he didnt even hit the target.

To be fair to him, he did well when he came on and you could see where he was aiming, I think Elmo deserves a start, It's all confidence with the lad. And he cost us 8.2m not bloody 12!!!

Elmander cost £8.2m plus Braaten.

Braaten was valued at £2m.

Every cloud has a silver lining.
