I haven't seen the game so I cannot comment, but Sir Nut's assessment of today's game looked quite accurate of games against Liverpool and Burnley. Taylor, Cohen and Kevin Davies recently have been extremely poor and are offering so little to the team. In fact they have been nothing players, they are no threat and don't seem to do anything.

I am so disappointed in Coyle's team selection today. One up front? There was just no goal threat in the team. How can Kevin Davies, Taylor and Cohen play who are no threat and do so little whilst Weiss, Gardner and Wilshere who all look a threat to the opposition be on the bench?

Ill tell you what buddy if he doesn't take them 3 out ''WE ARE GOING DOWN''.  Fulham are by far the worst team iv seen at the Reebok for sometime and we drew with them 0 0, they had 2 strikers who offered no threat whats so ever (same as us until Elmander come on) and it was just a battle in the middle with them passing and us chasing as we just lumped it to Davies and lost it everytime.  If it wasnt for Muamba cutting things out today we would of lost.

I thought Coylie was correct to start 4-5-1 with the players available,if there isn't a striker of enough quality to play with Davies then pack the midfield. The problem today was that the creative midfield players had off days,Lee in particular was very disappointing.Taylor was  poor,he couldn't even get corners beyond the first defender and his free kick straight into the wall summed his day up.The only attacking spark of any kind in the midfield in the first half was coming from Mark Davies. He was below par but did have our only good chance of the half.
I thought Coylie was wrong to take MDavies off.If he was going to take him off then i would have replaced him with Gardner.Going 4-4-2 made our midfield weaker and less likely to break them down until Weiss eventually went on.I don't think we really deserved to win the game.Including the disallowed goal we created 3 gilt edged chances and that isn't really enough for a home team to claim they deserved a win.Muamba and Cohen did nothing attacking wise to suggest they are good enough as a pair again at this level.Muamba did play better than normal though and won several tackles.
On the positive side we are a better defensive side now.I think this is because there is a more positive attacking attitude at the club and we try to play further down the pitch. To get a clean sheet with Knight and O'Brien starting is quite an achievement for Coylie.I can understand what Coylie is trying to get his players to do which is more than I can say of Megson's baffling tactics.Unfortunately for Coylie and us he was let down by too many players not performing. And the useless Swede showing once again what an awful player he is for a  club record signing.

Taylor was subbed?

Steinsson was dropped just before the match due to illness.

Cahill picked up an injury before the match.

I actually think Coyle did well.  I know, I know....0-0.  However, we kept a clean sheet at home and we did score.  That goal should have stood.  Equally, after Coyle made the changes Elmander had a clear chance to win it too.  I don't blame the manager.  We had 2 key defenders out and we kept a clean sheet.  Even when AOB went off we looked solid.

Does that in any way affect the fact that with any other ref we'd have won 1-0?

Kevin Davies: Connected with a few headers but not really effective, just gave the ball away nearly all the time (apart from when he got the ball of a player then gave it back to him)  he is predictable and like cohen, his positioning is awful and just stands there watching the play go by , i seen him on several occasions receive the ball to feet give it back and just turned and run into a crowded box instead of moving into space around the box to receive the ball again, he has no football brain and unless we bring some direct players in to replace, Lee, Mark Davies and Cohen he is another player that needs to be dropped urgently and used as an impact sub if where chasing a game.

Elmander: when he come on we looked 10 x better he was making the right runs, making the right passes and brought the team together, he made a cracking run when he got himself on the 1 on 1 and the keeper did a great job in narrowing the angle, i think that was the first time we got behind there back 4 and it took one inteligent run (decent pass by Kevin Davies but i think anyone on the pitch could of made the pass!not anyone on the pitch could of made the run)...... i don't expect Elmander to bang every shot in as he's not a prolific goal scorer, he is a link up player and was awesome today when he come on.

Firstly, does your command of the English language not embarrass you?

Secondly, you really are a tit. Once again you try to blame Kevin Davies for another poor result when, once again, he was one of our best players. At the moment he is far and away our most creative player. Think of the last few goals or good chances we have created and think who was involved. Kevin Davies.

And the reason Bolton looked better when Elmander came on is because Davies wasn’t so isolated. But it’s utterly pointless playing Elmander because he is a stump in front of goal. Davies put him clean through and he fluffed it…again.

Nat, please don't call Sir Nut a tit. Obviously he's not a tit.

Sir Nut can at least see the problems and see which players need replacing. You on the other hand have your rose tinted 3d glasses on.

Kevin Davies is our most creative player? Oh my god, I've heard it all now. Yeah of course he has assists because he's furthest forward and is in places where he can pass it to someone near to goal. Zat Knight doesn't get many assists as he is the other side of the pitch. I bet if Knight played up front he'd have a few assists. That doesn't mean Davies is our most creative player.

Kevin Davies is finished, time to send him back to Chesterfield for him to see out his remaining days as a footballer.

Top3 highlights of KD's contribution today
1. should have had a pen in the first half when Hangeland climbed all over him in the box
2. created our best chance of the match for Elmo to fluff his lines again
3. scored a perfectly good goal that Clattenberg mysteriously ruled out

(also, if I remember rightly, significantly involved in both of MD's great chances in the first half)

Elmo's top 3 highlights
1. couldn't hit the target from 8 yards
2. errrrrr ... struggling
2. ah, fcuk it I give up

That's not right.  He made decent runs.  Played a couple of good balls inside that Davies failed to read.  He chased the ball and he had the Fulham defence back-tracking and worried at times.  He then made a great run and should have scored, but then if you leave strikers on the bench they get rusty.  I think he's done enough to deserve a start.
