Today's line up. Oh dear no Cahill, have I missed something there, has he must have picked up an injury? We're just playing one up front at home, no Riga even on the subs bench. Kevin Davies and Matty Taylor keep their places (huh). I am surprised to see Wilshere not picked yet again, I thought he was certain to be a regular starter if he came to us. Good to see Mark Davies keep his place in the team, but I must be honest it wouldn't be the team I would pick.
22 Jaaskelainen 12 Knight 15 Steinsson 18 Ricketts 31 O'Brien 06 Muamba 07 Taylor 16 Davies 21 Cohen 27 Lee 14 Davies

Can't see what was wrong with Davies 'goal'.
Replay's don't show anything?

The commentators said pretty much the same thing. I think Mark Twattenburg must have had a bet on this one (allegedly)

I didn't see any of the game but I heard Chris Kamara say it was a terrible game and very few chances. Good that we kept another clean sheet but you look at that team sheet and you have to ask where are the goals coming from?

Definately going to be low down the pecking order on the MOTD stakes. Didn't we have 10 chances on target though?

If you want an idea of how the match was, just pick any match under Megson and it was about the same.
After all the promise, nothing has changed and if it carries on that way, we'll struggle to stay up this year.

Should've won this either through Davies' header which should have been allowed or elmander's miss after davies had done well to control and slip him through. The defence was very good considering the disruption through first cahill then steinsson getting injured. Knight is getting better and better. Davies had a much better game than his recent form and even elmander looked abit more lively and interested despite his miss. Cohen and taylor may still be two i would perhaps rest with weiss and wilshere replacing them but this can't happen v city since weiss won't be allowed to play i don't think but wilshere may get a game. We limited fulham too very little and muamba had a typical muamba game excellent at tackling and breaking up their play numerous times but still must improve his control and passing to be a premiership centre mid. I know it's not his job to play 50 yard passes but he's gotta improve his short passing and control a little improvement on that and he's real quality and could go far.

I didn't see any of the game, but was Ref Clattenburg wearing a red shirt, by any chance? I understand he was their best player!

Don't know why he ruled the goal out - the replays didn't pick anything up!

Ref was miming a push afterwards so i guess he saw a tiny bit of contact and, in line with the new no contant sport we have, disallowed the goal. Looked a terrible decision even from up in the East Upper (somewhere i wont be sitting again in a hurry).

I'm a glass is half full kind of a guy. Early days. There is generally an initial spurt of enthusiasm from the players when a new manager takes over (barely noticeable in our case). Admittedly there is a lot of fine tuning needed, but when did we ever have 10 on target under Megson? Also a legitimate goal disalllowed?
