Just like to know weather there has been any news regarding a potential permenent transfer for danny. I think his deffently been in our top 5 this season & with his age should continue to improve & become a high quality scoring midfielder.

This is the last we heard.

On loan Bolton midfielder Danny Guthrie is delighted with his progress in the first team at Bolton.

The 20-year-old, who is on a season long loan from Liverpool, has established himself as a regular in the Wanderers midfield this season and has hinted at a possible deal in the summer.

"A lot can happen between now and the end of the season," Guthrie told the Manchester Evening News.

"I could see myself staying here, however, it's up to people above me to decide what happens.

"I'm sure Liverpool have been monitoring my progress but I haven't spoken to anyone.

"In terms of me staying, it is what the two clubs want to do and then it comes down to me.

"I came to Bolton to play regularly but it's a bonus to play against the likes of Atletico Madrid. You can test yourself against different opposition and a different style of play.

"It's been a difficult season but I'm hoping it will end on a good note.

Personally, I'm a big fan and would love to see him stay. There are little things that he needs to improve on. His first touch isn't the best but his distribution is excellent, he usually looks to play the easy ball and isn't scared about running at people.

Recently he's been playing on the right and he doesn't look the same player, he needs to play in the middle.

Would be good to see him get on the scoresheet but with time on his side I think he can only improve and if we have the chance to keep him, let's do it.

I would have to agree with you regarding Danny Guthrie. I think he's been a quality player for Bolton and I would love to steal him away from Liverpool, especially after today.

His hardworking style of play fits well with the Bolton first team squad.

I'm all aboard the Guthrie bandwagon.

I would love to see danny stay. We need some fresh blood with the likes of Stelios, Campo (LEGEND) ageing our midfield. It's good to see a football hungry player for once, and not a wage packet player

Guthrie has been great this season, but recently a few of the flaws in his game have started to show, mainly his lack of an end product. But he is still young and im sure he'll improve, and judging from this season he'll improve very quickly. Id like to see us get him but i hope we dont get ripped off because i wont be too disappointed if we dont
