Profile > Forum Profile information (down the left hand side of the profile page) > Put your picture under the appropriate heading > Click Change Profile (bottom of the page).

Can't wait to see your new avatar!

I'm no expert Squidge but I think some picture links have a fixed life span - they seem ok for a few hours / days, then suddenly all you get is the red X in the small box.

If the picture you link to is on a site - and it goes down for whatever reason - you will get the red X until that site is back up and running again.

Best bet is to find the pics you want and add them to photobucket or some such to eliminate the chance of the pic "expiring".

The odd thing was the first one was my own photo!! It was on photbucket downloaded to my PC too!

Like Sluffy said, if it was an image from another site then it may just no longer work.

If you uploaded it to the boards, it may have been lost when the database crashed the other day.

He'd of got the boot on other sites a lot earlier.

He was pushing it with is avatars though. Not one bite though. This fishy swam straight by. Grin
